Mommy shaming is one of those things that just comes with celebrities using Twitter and Instagram now. Almost always mommy shaming is ridiculous, but that doesn’t the stop the haters from hating – and, man, are they vocal! While some celebrities handle it like pros, it doesn’t stop the mommy shamers’ unnecessary negativity. Here are 10 of the most ridiculous celebrity mommy shaming moments:
10. Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen has been mommy shamed more than once. She was getting shamed before Luna was even born. During her pregnancy, she posted a picture of her nightly craving, Fruity Pebbles mixed with Captain Crunch, on Twitter and her followers attacked her for her food choice, but she clapped back at them. “If you wanna give me unsolicited baby advice on the damn cereal I eat/what I wear, u better unlock your profile so I can see your perfection,” she tweeted. She’s also been judged for being photographed out for dinner with her husband without Luna, for Luna not looking happy in photos, and for how she held her daughter in a photo, but she handles the criticism like a pro.

9. Ciara
Ciara was recently mommy shamed for bringing her three-month-old daughter, Sienna, on the Mutianyu Great Wall of China toboggan slide. She posted a video of it on Twitter and Instagram, and her followers couldn’t contain their scorn. “Has your attention-seeking narcissism as a couple affected your parenting decisions too? This is ridiculous. She’s 3 months old,” one person tweeted. While some fans couldn’t contain their judgement, others rushed to her defense, with one person responding, “I really wish people would think before they speak. Ci and Russ would never put their children in any kind of danger. They are going really slow, they control the speed. And the baby is strapped to her mother, in the carrier… So calm down it’s not that deep.”

8. Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis was mommy shamed for breastfeeding her daughter Wyatt in public. “I support every woman’s choice in what she wants to do and whatever makes them happy, but for me, I did nurse my child and I literally breastfed everywhere,” she told Vanity Fair. “There were many times where I didn’t bring a cover with me, and so I just did it in a restaurant, in the subway, in the park, at airports and in planes. Why did I do it in public? Because I had to feed my child. She’s hungry.” While doing this, people looked at her and Ashton Kutcher in a shameful kind of way as though it was sexual, but she was having none of it. “If it’s not for you, don’t look,” she said.

7. Pink
Pink was mommy shamed for posting a picture on Instagram of her cooking with her two children. Instagram users attacked the singer in the comment section for cooking while wearing a carrier with her son Jameson while in front of a hot stove; however, some users came to her defense. Pink responded to the shamers with, “I’m relieved that most of you see the ridiculousness of the comment situation. Lord help us all.”

6. Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde experienced some serious backlash from some Instagram users when she posted an innocent photo of herself kissing her three-year-old son on the lips. One commenter wrote, “Kissing your kid like your husband. It’s not good for him,” and another one made a judgmental comment about the length of Otis’ hair. Other users defended Wilde. “This picture is pure love,” one commented. “I hope this child looks at this photo one day and just knows how much his mom clearly loves him!” Wilde, however, never responded to any of the criticism.

5. Kate Beckinsale
When Kate Beckinsale posted a video of herself dancing with friends on Instagram, one user commented, “Go home and take care of your kids. Hehe!” The actress didn’t take this comment lying down. Her daughter, Lily, is 18 and will be starting college in the fall, so Beckinsale responded with, “What’s amazing is it is no longer the 18th century so now that my one child is grown I don’t have to stay home (while she’s out with her own friends) playing the pianoforte, getting consumption, or trying to secure her a marriage.”

4. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green
Megan Fox was mommy shamed for posting a collage of pictures on Instagram that included one with her son Noah wearing a Frozen-themed dress. As to be expected, some of her followers took offense to this. “No values. No morals. Promoting gay perversion. Destruction of traditional gender roles lead to a totalitarian society granting government officials more power,” one user wrote. In an interview with the Hollywood Pipeline YouTube channel, Brian Austin Green responded to the haters. “I’ve heard from some people that they don’t agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, I don’t care. He’s four and if he wants to wear it, then he wears it,” he said. “I feel like at four or five, that’s the time he should be having fun. He’s not harming anyone by wearing a dress. If he wants to, awesome. Good on him.”

3. Jana Kramer
Jana Kramer received a lot of criticism from the mommy shamers on Instagram when she posted a picture at supermarket of her buying a bunch of jars of baby food. Some of the critics were upset because she wasn’t making her own baby food. Kramer wasn’t having it though. She left a handwritten note for them on Instagram that read, “Dear Mommy Shamers, Unless you are Jolie’s doctor, her father, or her mom, do NOT tell me how to raise my child, or how to feed her. Sincerely, Jolie’s MOM.”

2. Kristin Cavallari
When Kristin Cavallari posted a picture of her two sons with her husband Jay on a beach on the fourth of July, a number of Instagram users criticized her children’s appearance, arguing that they looked too skinny. Cavallari had the best response to the mommy shamers: “Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha.”

1. Kelly Clarkson
After posting a photo of her daughter River Rose eating a piece of bread with Nutella, Kelly Clarkson experienced the wrath of the mommy shamers. “Make your own @kellyclarkson Nutella is PACKED with sugars don’t make your kids blow up too,” one user wrote, while some suggested that the palm oil in Nutella causes cancer. “Yep. Start them out with cancer at an early age,” one person commented. Clarkson never responded to the criticism, but it was so obviously ridiculous.
