Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd are two of the biggest stars in the entire Real Housewives franchise. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members have been appearing on the show since it first aired back in 2010. These two entrepreneurs were doing quite alright before they became full blown reality stars on one of the most popular reality series, but now they’re widely recognized all over America as one of the biggest power couples in Beverly Hills, and to top it all off, they have one of the cutest relationships on the show! Here’s 10 things you probably didn’t know about Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd’s relationship:
10. Falling Fast
Lisa and Ken Vanderpump have been married for almost 35 years! That’s quite impressive, especially for a couple that lives in Beverly Hills! What makes this even more surprising is the fact that they got married only six weeks after they met. Lisa was introduced to Ken when she got a job working the door at a bar in London’s Kensington neighborhood called Corks. Ken was the proud owner of this bar. “She was like a breath of fresh air coming into my life,” said Ken in an interview with the London Evening Standard. At the time Ken was 37 and Lisa was only 21, but age didn’t matter to them and they quickly became husband and wife in 1982.

9. Ken’s First Marriage
Before Ken married Lisa, he was married to a woman named Pamela Todd. In season 3 he briefly talked about the marriage, but didn’t say much. All he said was that it “didn’t last long.” According to the Daily Mail, Todd was a model in the ’60s. She and Ken got married when they were very young, both in their teens — he was only 19 at the time. She moved from England to LA, but is now back to living in London. She was rumored to be in a relationship with a man named Malcolm Roberts, who passed away in 2003.

8. Working Together
This British reality couple are often referred to as the franchises biggest power couple as they own some of the hottest spots in California — Villa Blanca (a celebrity hot spot), PUMP and SUR. Not only have they proven to be great partners in marriage — but they’re also the perfect business partners! Lisa works primarily on the aesthetics of their businesses, while Ken handles all the behind-the-scenes work like obtaining licenses and purchasing properties. “We complement eac other. He’s the impulsive one, I’m more conservative. He’s always looking for a new venture,” she said in an interview with the London Evening Standard. They’ve also owned a slew of restaurants, bars and nightclubs in London. Sometimes on the show it seems like their entire relationship revolves around work, but to each their own! Their most profitable businesses are a gay bar called Shadow Lounge in London, a cocktail-fused Bar Soho, and Cheers-themed bar. In 1998 they sold four bars to the Trocadero group for 10.5 million pounds!

7. Moved Around
Ken and Lisa obviously lived in London, where they are both from, when they first got married. We all know they have been living in Beverly Hills for quite some time now, which is where they’ve established all of their businesses and restaurants, but many might not know that the two also lived in in South France for a while and the English countryside. The reality couple moved back to Europe from California in the mid-1990s while they were raising their children, Pandora and Max. According to Lisa, they wanted to raise their children away from what she describes as “Hollywood B-S.” The move was also triggered by the Northridge Earthquake in 1994.

6. Adoptive Parents
The Vanderpump Rules stars adopted their youngest child, a son named Max, when he was only six months old. At the time he was living with a foster family. Max has expressed some interest in finding his biological parents, which has been discussed on the show and Lisa has feared that now that the family is famous, the biological parents will try to contact Max. “We’re in a public arena, and they might recognize us,” she said.

5. Key to a Successful Marriage
In an interview with Parade, Lisa opened up about what has helped her and Ken manage such a strong relationship for the last 34 years. “It sounds cliche, but I think having respect for each other and being kind to one another. Of course, you have trials and tribulations like everybody else, but we have a sense of humor about things as well. We’re not taking ourselves too seriously, and I think most people watching Housewives know that I do love a laugh, and I’m married to somebody that supports everything I do.”

4. Lisa Has a Step Son
Fans of the Real Housewives were surprised to learn that Ken had a son from his first marriage named Warren. Ken raised Warren as a single father since he was two-years-old, but he’d never really been mentioned on the show until 2013 when Lisa and Ken went to go visit Warren at his home in Saint Tropez. “He was married briefly for two years at 19, to a young wife who wasn’t prepared for the challenging job of being a mother. So he then fought her for custody of their only child. He worked many jobs laboring, night jobs, anything to provide for his son, and, with the help of his mother, he raised an educated, well-mannered young man,” said Lisa. As we learn more about Warren, the story gets more and more strange. Ken had his son when he was only 21, and because of his age difference with Lisa, Warren is only six years younger than her. She’s closer in age to her step-son than she is to her own husband!

3. Ken’s Son Married Lisa’s Best Friend
The whole step-son story gets even more strange when we learn that Warren actually married one of Lisa’s former best friends, an actress named Sue Vanner, who is 16-years his senior. Vanner is best known for starring as the Bond Girl in the 1977 film, The Spy Who Loved Me. Warren was 11-years-old at the time this movie was made. Despite their enormous age difference, their marriage has been a success, but not surprisingly, it caused a bit of a rift between Warren, Ken and Lisa. “When Warren first met Sue, the 16 year age difference, the secrecy that had transpired, was not something we supported,” Lisa wrote in her Bravo blog. Warren and Sue have a son, Ryan, who is the same age as Lisa and Ken’s adopted son, Max. Which makes Uncle Max the same age as his nephew– how weird is that!

2. The Real Housewives Helped Their Marriage
These two seem to have defied the odds and escaped the reality TV curse. Usually starring on a reality show is a surefire way to tear a relationship apart, as we’ve seen it so many times before. Yolanda and David Foster are the most recent victims of this curse, but not Lisa and Ken! According to Lisa, being on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules has actually helped her marriage to Ken. “[Being on the show] made me love him more because I’ve been through some tough times on the Housewives and he has always been there and I thank him,” she said.

It’s no secret that this Beverly Hills couple are pretty wealthy, but just how rich are they? Well according to Celebrity Net Worth, Ken and Lisa are worth an estimated $65 million! This makes them the wealthiest stars in the entire Real Housewives franchise! They reportedly make about $500 thousand each season and together co-own about 26 restaurants. In addition to their two shows, RHOBH and Vanderpump Rules, which Lisa serves as an executive producer, she also writes for Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine, developed a skin care line with her partner, Dr. Simon Ourian, and designs a clothing line with Christina Makowsky and Alan Del Rosario.
