7. Struggles with Food

In her early twenties, Candace struggled with bulimia. This was when she was first married to Valeri Bure and was living with him in Montreal. “I turned to food for comfort and had to find a different source, because clearly it wasn’t a healthy way to deal with things,” she said. “So that’s really when my faith was kicked up a notch and sought comfort in my relationship with God, and not with food.”

6. First Kiss

The Full House and Fuller House star’s first kiss was with Kevin on Full House when she was 13. It was the spin-the-bottle episode, “13 Candles.”

3. Education

2. Bullied

While she was in junior high, Candace was bullied because she was on television. “I was made fun of, pushed, knocked down, and had obscene words written on my locker multiple times. One time, my gym locker was covered in gum and shaving cream,” she told the blog, The Cradle Chronicles.

1. Born Again

Candace became completely devoted to her faith in her early 20s when she read The Way of the Master. “I recognized for the first time, ‘Oh, I guess I’m not as good as I thought I was. I am good by worldly status… but God has a different standard,’” she said.
