15 Celebrities You Forgot Were On Dancing With The Stars
Published on March 20, 2017. Updated September 15, 2017Dancing with the Stars began all the way back in 2005 and has now been around for an incredible 23 seasons! Each season of the American dance competition series features different celebrities who are paired with a professional dancer. They duos all compete against each other for points, with eliminations each week until only one champion pair remains. The newest season is set to premiere on September 18, so in anticipation of season 25, here’s a look at 15 celebrities you might have forgotten once appeared on DWTS!
15. Lil’ Kim
Kimberly Denise Jones, better known by her stage name Lil’ Kim, appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2009 for season 8. If it wasn’t so long ago that she appeared on the show, many wouldn’t have forgotten her because she brought so much flare to the season, from her amazing dancing to her risky fashion, hair and music choices. She scored consistently high marks all season, but was eliminated in week eight, putting her in fifth place overall.
ABC/KELSEY MCNEAL14. Harry Hamlin
The Mad Men actor decided to give Dancing with the Stars a shot early on in the series history, back in 2006. We have to give him credit — no one thought Harry could win it more than Harry himself. Even though he was paired with Ashly DelGrosso and exuded confidence, he wasn’t very good and was the third person eliminated in season 3. This didn’t scare his wife Lisa Rinna off as she joined the show only a year later!

The Shark Tank investor and well known businessman stepped out of his comfort zone when he joined season two of Dancing with the Stars back in 2006. He was paired up with professional dancer, Kym Johnson, but not even Johnson could help Cuban. Safe to say, he didn’t do so great. They were the fifth couple eliminated from the show, so we’re guessing he won’t be investing in a dance career anytime soon.

We’re not all that surprised Brandy Norwood made it all the way into fourth place during her 2010 stint on Dancing with the Stars, considering she is an international performer who sells out concerts all over America! Norwood is a born entertainer. In fact, many people thought she was eliminated earlier than she should have been because she was considered a front runner all season. The season 11 competitor was paired with professional dancer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and each week she failed to disappoint. We’d love to see her come back on the show!
ADAM LARKEY/AP11. Billy Ray Cyrus
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer competed on season four of Dancing with the Stars back in 2007. He wasn’t the season’s best dancer, but he surprisingly didn’t do that bad, especially considering he accidentally pulled his partners wig off during one of their performances! Paired up with pro dancer, Karina Smirnoff, the duo came in fifth place after being eliminated in the eighth week.

Master P definitely goes down as one of the worst contestants to have ever been on the show mainly because it was pretty obvious he didn’t want to be there. He was brought on the show in 2006 for season two to replace Romeo who had to drop out due to an injury. Master P was partnered up with Ashly DelGrosso and received one of the lowest scores in the show’s history when he obtained an 8 out of 30 for his pasodoble. After four full weeks on the show he was eliminated.

One of the more surprising castings on Dancing with the Stars was Bill Nye the science guy. When he appeared on the show in season 17 he was paired up with newcomer, Tyne Stecklein. Unfortunately, the duo didn’t last long after Nye suffered an injury to his quadriceps tendon. They were eliminated in the third week of competition.

Steve-O is best known for for his stunts on the American television series Jackass and the related movies. Less than a year after getting out of rehab, Steve-O joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars in March 2009 for season eight. He was paired up with professional dancer, Lacey Schwimmer, and surprisingly made it all the way into the sixth week before he was eliminated. His scores were consistently low throughout his time on the show, but he made up for it with his goofy outfits and enthusiasm.

The Jersey Shore star did a stint on season 17 of Dancing with the Stars in 2013, shortly after her MTV reality show ended. Polizzi was partnered up with Sasha Farber and the couple lasted five weeks on the show. Sadly, just as she was getting better and receiving high scores from judges she was eliminated from the show. The two were given the boot after delivering her highest-scoring performance, the Sasha Samba, and finished eighth overall.
ABC6. Nancy Grace
Season 13 competitor Nancy Grace placed fifth overall. The HLN anchor — best known for screaming “Tot Mom!” — was a fan favorite during her time on the show. It was fun to see a different side to Grace who’s usually in the more serious role of being a legal commentator, TV host and journalist. She was partnered up with Tristan MacManus and the duo did fairly well, lasting eight weeks into the competition to place fifth overall. Grace and MacManus were just one week shy of the semi-finals.

Kim Kardashian might be great at taking selfies, accessorizing and running her Kardashian empire, but when it comes to dancing, she’s a total flop. We have to hand it to her, she definitely tackled one of her biggest fears, which is dancing, by learning and performing dance routines on national television. Her time on the show was highly documented on her own reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Partnered up with Mark Ballas, the couple were eliminated in the third week.

Lance Bass was the second *NSYNC member to appear on Dancing with the Stars, and one of many boy band contestants before him. Not surprisingly, the “I Want You Back” singer did quite well. It seemed like all those choreography lessons he had to endure while being a member of one of the best boy bands in history paid off! He was partnered up with professional dancer, Lacey Schwimmer, and the duo danced their way through season seven into the grand finale only to finish in third place. Not bad!

Dancing with the Stars does not seem like something this former reality star turned fashion designer would be up for, but she did it! She joined the cast of DWTS in season nine back in 2009 and was surprisingly pretty good. She almost danced her way to first place, but came up short in third place. It was clear Osbourne was out of her comfort zone and took her a while to become comfortable on the dance floor, but once she was, she did great!

Bindi Irwin wasn’t the first Australian teen sensation to win over the judges on Dancing with the Stars. Many viewers might have forgotten that singer, Cody Simpson, also appeared on the show back in season 18. He was partnered up with Witney Carson, making them the youngest pair to ever compete on the show together. Unlike Irwin, the Queensland native didn’t make it very far. Simpson was eliminated in the fifth week and finished in ninth place overall.

Here’s one thing Rob can say he successfully beat his sister at — dancing! The reality star shocked everyone when he came on Dancing with the Stars in 2011 for season 13 and made it all the way to second place! He was partnered up with professional dancer, Cheryl Burke, and the two absolutely wowed audiences with their skills and awesome chemistry.
