One of the basics of a successful show or film has been chemistry between stars. While this is vitally important between romantic pairs on-screen, the same is true of the leads in general no matter what relationship they are portraying on screen. While a lot of duos have knocked it out of the park, others are so close and do so well together they have carried that chemistry through multiple projects becoming known as much as a tandem pair as individual actors. Over the years there have been many actors who continue to work together forming tight friendships and creating hilarious movies, and the past few years have offered some of the best. Check out 7 of the funniest acting duos who can’t stop working together!
7. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been a comedy duo for quite some time, becoming famous on Saturday Night Live and often doing sketches together, but it hasn’t been until recently that they have become a beloved pair. The two funny ladies have had successful separate careers, but have appeared in films such as Anchorman 2 and Mean Girls, but lead a film together in Baby Mama. Fans have really gotten the full effect of these best friends and co-stars through their Golden Globes hosting duties and next up will be Sisters in which the pair, you guessed it, play sisters and we know it is going to be hilarious.

Many were fans of both actors separately, but together they surprised everyone. 3. Allen Covert and Peter Dante
Adam Sandler films are hit and miss when it comes to comedy, but two you can always count on in most of his movies are Allen Covert and Peter Dante. Although they are best known for being in Sandler’s films, they always manage to steal the scenes, especially in Little Nicky, Mr. Deeds, and Big Daddy. The two really cemented themselves not only as stars themselves, but as a great pair as two of the stars of the 2006 film Grandma’s Boy, which was helped a long by an ensemble cast of newer comedic actors. The film wasn’t a box office success but has since developed a cult following and rightly so, it is hilarious.

Instead of Wilson, Vaughn starred opposite Stiller in the comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Comedy, but together Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson make a great team. Both appeared in Zoolander and Starsky & Hutch but, in 2005, the two started a bromance with Wedding Crashers. Nodded as one of the best recent comedies, the two used their success together to co-star again in 2013’s The Internship. Many faulted the movie, but the chemistry between the two cannot be denied.

1. Seth Rogen and James Franco
One of the best new comedic duos to emerge in the past few years is most definitely Seth Rogen and James Franco. Their epic friendship started way back in 1999 when both were cast in Judd Apatow’s amazing and short-lived, Freaks and Geeks. From there the two have become the central pieces in the “Apatow Chapter” which also includes Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Martin Starr and Jason Segel. Both actors appeared in Knocked Up! but in separate scenes, but in 2008 they gave us Pineapple Express, one of the funniest films in recent history. Then of course they starred in 2013’s This Is The End, a cameo filled riot of a film and of course 2014’s The Interview which, aside from all the drama of the Sony Hack, was actually a hilarious movie. At this point, fans expect nothing but the best from the duo, and can only wait for more, which hopefully includes a Pineapple Express sequel.
