Celebrities usually date other celebrities – that’s just how it is. It’s easier because they work in the same industry, understand the pressures and, if they meet on set, it makes it that much easier for them to start dating. There are a number of celebrities, however, who choose to date people who are not famous and these relationships, most often, seem to have more lasting power. Many of the people on our list have been married for years. Here are 9 super famous celebrities who chose to marry ordinary people!

9. Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has never really been into dating other A-list celebrities. She usually goes for musicians and actors, but they are almost always less famous than she is. When she finally did decide to settle down and get married again a couple of years ago, she chose someone who is not at all famous. Barrymore is currently married to an art consultant by the name of Will Kopelman, with whom she has two children.

8. Matt Damon

After dating a couple of actresses – Minnie Driver and Winona Ryder – Matt Damon decided to go for someone outside of Hollywood. While filming “Stuck on You,” he met met Luciana Bozán Barroso, an Argentinian bartender. These two dated for a couple of years before they got married in 2005. After several years of marriage, Damon and Barroso are still going strong. They have three daughters together and renewed their wedding vows last year.

7. Reese Witherspoon

Witherspoon and Toth are still together and have one child, Tennessee.

6. Kelsey Grammer

Kelsey Grammer’s current wife Kayte was a flight attendant when he met her. Even though he was married at the time to Camille, these two became an item. Kayte quickly became pregnant – although miscarried soon after the announcement was made – and they even got engaged before his divorce to Camille was finalized. Despite hooking up under shady circumstances, Kesley and Kayte are now married with two children.

5. Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire has always been pretty tight-lipped about his romantic relationships, so we don’t really know a lot about his past relationships. What we do know, however, is that the “Spider-man” star has been loved up with jewelry designer Jennifer Mayer since 2003. They met while he was shooting the movie “Seabiscuit,” became engaged in 2006 and were married the following year. They currently have two children together, Ruby and Otis.

He started dating a Canadian realtor, Kyla Weber. They married in 2010 and they currently have two children.

Nederlander filed for divorce four months after they married and Seinfeld quickly proposed to Jessica and married her the following year.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star sounds like the perfect husband! He said “And being a father makes you look at yourself. You look at your marriage and go, ‘How do I improve this? How do I keep growing and create a stable environment for my children?’”
