Cast Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Where Are They Now?

The critically acclaimed television series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ended over a decade ago after seven successful seasons. It was nominated for numerous Emmy and Golden Globe Awards, and it took home three Emmys in total. The television series is still considered one of the greatest shows of all time.

Danny Strong

Danny Strong – who portrayed nerd-turned-sorcerer Jonathan Levinson on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” – went on to win two Emmys for his work on HBO’s political- and Sarah Palin-focused film, “Game Change.” He also starred in a  a recurring role on “Mad Men.” Most recently, Strong was hired to pen the new screenplay for the film, “Guys and Dolls.”

Anthony Head

Anthony Head made a name for himself as Buffy’s Watcher, Rupert Giles. After “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ended, Head held roles on “Little Britain” as the Prime Minister and on “Merlin” as Uther Pendragon. His most recent role was in the age-gap sitcom, “You, Me And Them.”

Seth Green

Seth Green held the role of Daniel “Oz” Osbourne, a werewolf who dated Willow, on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”  Currently, Seth voices Chris Griffin, the overweight and not particularly bright teenage son on “Family Guy.” Green is also co-creator, co-producer, writer, director, and most frequent voice on the hit comedy TV series “Robot Chicken.”

James Marsters

James Marsters’ role as Spike on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” gained him mainstream recognition. He reprised his role in the spin-off “Angel” and, after both shows wrapped, he enjoyed recurring roles on “Smallville,” “Without a Trace,” and “Hawaii Five–0.”

Marc Blucas

Marc Blucas played Agent Riley Finn, one of Buffy’s love interests, on the hit series. After his departure from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” he went on to supporting roles in films like “We Were Soldiers,” “First Daughter,” and “The Jane Austen Book Club.” He also had starring roles on the TV shows “Necessary Roughness” and “Killer Women.”

Emma Caulfield

Emma Caulfield – who played former vengeance demon Anya – has kept herself busy since “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ended. She’s enjoyed a string of guest starring roles in numerous TV shows, including “Gigantic,” and “Life Unexpected.”

Amber Benson

Amber Benson played Willow’s girlfriend, Tara, on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Although she’s best known for her role as Tara, she’s also directed, produced, and starred in her own films, “Chance” and “Lovers, Liars & Lunatics.” Benson has also guest starred on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ringer.”

David Boreanaz

David Boreanaz played the mysterious Angel – a vampire cursed with a soul as punishment for his past sins – on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” as well as on the spin-off “Angel.” When the two shows ended, he landed a starring role on the prime time television series “Bones.”

Michelle Trachtenberg

Michelle Trachtenberg had the role of Buffy’s younger sister, Dawn, on the hit series. One of her biggest roles after  “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” was on “Gossip Girl” as Georgina Sparks. She was also a cast member of the NBC drama “Mercy” and had a guest starring role on “Weeds.”

Eliza Dushku

Like Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character, Buffy, Eliza Dushku’s character, Faith, was  a slayer. However, Faith was far more troubled compared to Buffy. After appearing on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel,” Dushku starred in  “Tru Calling” and “Dollhouse.”

Alyson Hannigan

Alyson Hannigan played the role of Buffy’s best friend, Willow, on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” After the series ended, she joined the cast of the hit comedy “How I Met Your Mother” as Lily. The show – which ran for nine successful seasons – recently came a close.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sarah Michelle Gellar – who played the lead role in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer – has gone back to television after dabbling in film for several years. She starred in the TV show “Ringer,” which was cancelled after one season and she currently landed a starring role on “The Crazy One” opposite Robin Williams.

Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter – who held the role of Cordelia – left “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” after three seasons. She left the show for a larger role as the same character on the spin-off “Angel.” Carpenter was most recently a series regular on “The Lying Game” as well as the host of  “Surviving Evil.”
