Ice Cube Clarifies Insensitive Paul Walker Comments

Rapper-turned-actor ICE CUBE has clarified comments he made insisting he should have won a prize at the MTV Movie Awards over late actor PAUL WALKER.

The tragic star, who perished in a car crash in November (13), was posthumously honoured with the Best Onscreen Duo award alongside his Fast & Furious 6 co-star Vin Diesel at Sunday’s (13Apr14) ceremony.

In an interview with USA Today, Ice Cube seemed to suggest film fans voted out of sympathy for Walker, and that he should have scooped the prize with his Ride Along co-star Kevin Hart.

He said, “We was robbed. Shame on you MTV. We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period. They should have gave it to him before he passed away (sic).” Now he has taken to Twitter.com to insist his remarks have been taken out of context, writing, “Re: (regarding) The MTV Awards. I wasn’t really mad we didn’t win. So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker. Seriously people! Don’t believe the hype.

“We should honour people before they die. That’s all. MTV Awards. Ice Cube is not a sore loser. I was born losing. This winning s**t is what I gotta get use to (sic). Last tweet and I’mma (sic) leave it alone. Remember this: A lie travels further then the truth (sic). Damn the devil is busy. And Paul Walker fans don’t trip (get upset). I was a fan too.”
