(NEW YORK) — Imagine Dragons and Lorde both received lots of love Wednesday morning when the Billboard Music Awards nominees were announced.

The quartet and the New Zealand-born singer, respectively, each received nominations in 12 categories in this year’s awards.

Jason Derulo helped reveal some of the nominees — Top Female Artist, Top Male Artist, Top R&B Artist, Top Country Artist and Top Artist — on ABC’s Good Morning America. Billboard revealed the remaining nominees shortly thereafter.

Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis follow the leaders with nods in 11, 10 and eight categories, respectively.

The nominations highlight the year’s most successful artists in different music genres, based on album and single sales, radio airplay, touring, streaming, and social media interaction.

The Billboard Music Awards will take place in Las Vegas Sunday, May 18, and will air live on ABC.
