Forbes reports in the lawsuit Lindsay alleges a character in the game named Lacey Jonas is an “unequivocal” reference to her, citing its image, clothes and more.
The complaint also states that the game features the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood, where the Mean Girls star lived for a time.
Lindsay names Grand Theft Auto V makers Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games as defendants.
The game was released in September and reportedly raked in more than $800 million in sales on its first day of release.
Lindsay’s lawsuit appears to have been months in the making. TMZ reported in December that she was threatening to go to court over her allegations.
In 2010, Lohan settled a lawsuit with E*TRADE over a commercial she claimed referenced her. It featured talking babies discussing a “milkaholic” named Lindsay.
