Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez To Be Honored For Charity Work

REESE WITHERSPOON and JENNIFER LOPEZ are set to be honored for their philanthropic efforts at the upcoming Variety Power of Women event.

The trade magazine’s annual luncheon pays tribute to some of Hollywood’s most notable and charitable stars, and this year (14), Witherspoon and Lopez, along with Jane Fonda and Viola Davis, will be named Lifetime Impact Honourees for their humanitarian efforts.

The Walk the Line star will be recognised for her participation in the Malala Fund, an organisation which promotes education for young girls, and Lopez for her Lopez Family Foundation that works on access to medical care for women and children.

Fonda will be honored for her teen pregnancy prevention charity, Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential, and Davis will get praise for her support towards childhood hunger organisation Hunger Is. The sixth annual event will be held in Los Angeles on 10 October (14).
