We usually watch movies to witness the romances between the female and the male characters; however, the relationships between two male characters can sometimes be way more interesting. Some men have an uncanny chemistry, which propels the story forward, and it sometimes actually spills off-screen as well. Here at Fame10, we’re suckers for a great bromance. Here are 10 of the best bromances to ever grace the small and big screen!
10. Donald Faisen and Zach Braff – Scrubs
Donald Faisen and Zach Braff are known for their close friendship and goofy bromance. These two met on the set of “Scrubs.” They were playing best friends on on-screen and the friendship happened to spill off-screen as well. Their friendship is the real deal. “It’s very rare. Zach and I are both very lucky. I think our bromance is probably one of the strongest in Hollywood. At least I can say ours is real,” Faisen told People after season eight of “Scrubs” wrapped.

9. James Franco and Seth Rogen – Pineapple Express, Freaks & Geeks and This Is The End
James Franco and Seth Rogen have a strong bromance on and off-screen. They have worked on a number of films together including “Pineapple Express,” and “This Is The End” and they also co-starred on the television show “Freaks & Geaks.” Sometimes the bromance has turned into what looks like a romance! Franco and Rogen photoshopped themselves onto Kim Karadashian and Kanye West’s Vogue cover and they also parodied shot-for-shot West’s music video featuring his topless fiancé.

8. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill – 21 Jump Street
In “21 Jump Street,” Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill proved that they were an absolutely fantastic comedic pair. Director Christopher Miller said that by the third week of shooting the natural chemistry and friendship between Tatum and Hill was obvious. Co-stars saw it too, including Ice Cube. “White men love bro-mances, man. They are very into it. God bless ‘em. Hopefully they’ll be happy together,” he said. We hope so too!

7. Adam Brody and Ben McKenzie – The O.C.
The relationship between Adam Brody and Ben McKenzie’s characters on “The O.C.” is one of the greatest bromances to ever grace the small screen and critics agree. Upon the show’s premiere, Gael Fashingbauer Cooper of MSNBC described Ryan and Seth’s friendship as “the most promising plot” and, at the start of the second season, The New York Times wrote that “the relationship between the men is the show’s emotional centerpiece.” We couldn’t agree more!

6. Brad Pitt and George Clooney – Ocean’s Trilogy
Brad Pitt and George Clooney have chemistry both on and off-screen. They met on the set of “Ocean’s Eleven” and they have been friends ever since. 5. Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr.– Sherlock Holmes
One of the greatest things about Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes” films is the on-screen chemistry between Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. While promoting “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” Downey shed some light on Holmes’ relationship with Watson. “Truth be told, the bottom line with these stories, it’s about this one man’s observation of this other man who tells him that he is the only true friend he has and him realizing that he is the only person that he is actually very, very close to besides his wife. I think that that’s just a great theme. The bottom line is that we are in this love together,” he said.

4. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson – Wedding Crashers
Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson have an incredible amount of on-screen chemistry and this was especially evident in “Wedding Crashers.” According to Carina Chocano of the Los Angeles Times, at the heart of the story, is the bromance between Vaughn and Owen’s characters. “Underneath the diarrhea gags, the long lens at close range of Vaughn’s pants and the handcuffs, it’s really just a love story about a couple of buddies who live happily ever after. And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer, more charming couple.”

3. Donald Glover and Danny Pudi – Community
Donald Glover and Danny have one of the most endearing bromances on prime time. According to Pudi, it was completely accidental. “Initially [the producers] saw Troy and [Chevy Chase’s] Pierce as being weird buddies, but things changed. Donald and I just got each other and it fit. [The popular rap] ‘La Biblioteca’ spawned from an interview the two of us did. Dan Harmon saw it, spun it into a Spanish rap and put it at the end of the show. From then on we were doing a tag at the end of every episode,” the “Community” star said.

2. Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock – The Heat
“The Heat” is like a raunchier version of “Starsky & Hutch;” however, the chemistry between the two leads – Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock – makes the film worth seeing. “If you need another reason to see it, I can’t in good conscience supply one, since the story is sloppy and thin, many of the jokes are strained or tired, and the level of violence is a bit jarring. But the volatile chemistry between Ms. McCarthy and Ms. Bullock is something to behold, and carries The Heat through its lazy conception and slapdash execution,” a New York Times reviewer wrote.
