9. No Wedding Bells
Bad news, “Bi-Li” fans: it doesn’t look like Billy Abbott and Lily Winters are going to tie the knot anytime soon! At a recent fan event, where actors Jason Thompson and Christel Khalil fielded questions about their on-screen relationship, the subject of marriage inevitably came up. “I don’t think… I haven’t seen any plans of us getting engaged or married, but I really enjoy the characters,” Thompson replied (as per this fan video). Yet when he also shrugged off the idea of Billy having an affair, Khalil was quick to jump into character. “So you’re going to have an affair with Chelsea? Is that what’s going to happen?” When it comes to self-sabotage, Billy-boy is in a league of his own!

8. Jack Abbott Isn’t Going Anywhere
Jack Abbott fans (or, let’s face it, the entire Y&R audience) will be delighted to learn that actor Peter Bergman has signed a five-year deal to remain on the hit CBS soap. As Deadline reports, the length of Bergman’s contract is virtually unheard of in daytime drama, as the typical deal runs between one and four years. Heck, Y&R isn’t even on contract beyond 2024 – so that’s a serious vote of confidence for Bergman!

7. Natalie Morales Joins Y&R
The Talk host, Natalie Morales, will be joining the cast of Y&R. “Starting next month I have a little role, well it’s a recurring role on the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless,” Morales announced on Tuesday, according to ET Canada. Morales will be portraying a new character, Talia Morgan, who is an investigative reporter. So which Genoa City resident will this reporter be investigating? “I’m investigating Diane Jenkins, played by Susan Walters,” Morales revealed. It sounds like the host will also land some scenes with Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki), among others.

6. Y&R Alum Discovers Unknown Sister
When former Y&R actress Eva LaRue (Celeste Rosales) tried out an ancestry DNA test, the last thing she expected was to meet a new sister! However, that’s what happened, and now her (suddenly expanded) family is trying to wrap their heads around the discovery! “Sometimes, while you’re minding your own beeswax, life throws you a huge plot twist!” LaRue said on Instagram. “Our new family members fit right in like we’ve been together all along. What a crazy miracle to be connected through relatively new DNA technology. So many feelings, revelations and puzzles to wade through and piece together.”

5. Speculation About Mark Grossman’s Status
Mark Grossman’s status with Y&R came into question recently when his contract with the CBS soap expired. Rumors from behind the scenes initially indicated that the actor, who portrays Adam Newman, was ready to walk away when his contract was set to end in mid-May. Then, a few weeks later, the rumors reversed course, stating that Grossman planned to stay with the soap. (Sounds a bit like Adam Newman waffling about whether or not to stay at Newman Enterprises, no?) Whatever happened, it would appear that Grossman inked a new deal, since it’s late July and he’s still making appearances!

4. This One’s For The Folks!
Earlier this week, Courtney Hope paid tribute to her parents, who just celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. “Seeing you guys take on life, support each other, have the best adventures and laugh together, through all the ups and downs, has been so inspiring,” Hope wrote on Instagram. “I love you both so much and am thankful to have you both as parents.” The appreciation post caught the eye of Hope’s co-star, Tracey Bregman, who congratulated “the amazing people who made such an extraordinary person”. That doesn’t sound like something Lauren would say about Sally, now does it?

3. Tyler Johnson’s Next Role
Many Y&R viewers wonder if Theo Vanderway will ever return to Genoa City. As far as the immediate future is concerned, that’s a firm no — but that doesn’t mean Tyler Johnson is waiting by the phone. Fans of the actor can get their fix as Johnson is set to star in a new film called My Favorite Girlfriend. According to Soaps.com, the movie, in which he plays the character of Conrad, will be released on Tuesday, August 9th.

2. Justin Hartley’s Return
We have an update about another Y&R alum: ex-Adam Justin Hartley. After a six-year absence, Hartley is coming back to CBS for the pilot of his new drama series The Never Game. As Deadline reports, the This Is Us actor will not only star in the show, playing Colter Shaw, but he’ll serve as executive producer as well. “I couldn’t be happier that The Never Game is coming to CBS, and that Colter Shaw will be brought to life on screen soon,” Hartley said in a statement. Needless to say, the network is just as pleased to welcome this talent back to their roster.

1. Adrienne Frantz’s Baby Update
Adrienne Frantz, who played Amber on Y&R as well as The Bold and the Beautiful, recently shared an update on the health of her third child, Killian. The baby has been in and out of the hospital due to persistent fevers, and doctors haven’t been able to determine why his white blood cell count was so elevated.
It’s been a challenging time for the family, but Frantz took a moment to share the latest update – and thankfully it’s good news. “My little Killian is 20 weeks old today!” Frantz remarked on Instagram. “He was sick for a long time but is doing so much better now! Thank you for all of the prayers! It was really scary! But just look at that smile! Love him so much!”
