General Hospital: Plotline Predictions For Winter 2022

Will Maxie give up hope when it comes to bringing Louise home? Will BLQ and Chase solidify their romance? Will Drew and Carly continue to get closer? Will Nina and Sonny cross a line? There is nothing General Hospital (GH) fans love more than speculating on storylines! As such, below are some GH plotline predictions for winter 2022.

12. Will Peter Get Off Scot-Free?

In the land of soap operas (and Port Charles), troublemakers continually get away with criminal activities. It’s very uncommon that the “bad guys” serve jail time; that’s only for the heroes or heroines that slip up. Could Peter wiggle his way out of the multiple charges he’s facing? What if he gets better and strikes up a deal with the WSB? Could Peter August walk away a free man based on a legal technicality?

11. Maxie’s Heartbreak

GH spoilers hint that Maxie will come to a realization and be heartbroken. If Peter walks away a free man, Jones may believe there is no way that she can ever reveal the truth about Bailey. What was once a short-term plan has spiralled into months of time that she has lost with her third child. Does Maxie have a plan B?

10. Time To Take The Kids And Run

Could she decide to do something drastic? Could Maxie pack up her things and leave Port Charles with all three children? She’s technically not “stealing” Bailey, but it might look like that to the authorities. Will Jones blow Louise’s cover in a desperate move? Maybe she’ll enlist the help of Dr. Austin, or her mom, for help?

9. BLQ And Chase

BLQ and Chase will likely solidify their romance over the winter months. They are getting way too close for comfort lately. Plus, that chemistry! Chase stepped up to the plate when Brook Lynn (and Bailey/Louise) needed him most. All the time they’ve been spending together will build up until it explodes.

8. Drew And Carly

There are already hints that Drew and Carly will get closer over the winter months. The two have been running into each other a lot, and with Jason’s absence, she needs a friend who understands the situation. While the two likely won’t cross a line anytime soon, many fans will start to see sparks fly between this “unlikely” romantic couple.

7. Carly Admits She Had Feelings For Jason

As their friendship blooms, Carly could admit to Drew that she was “in love” with Jason. Maybe she even slightly regrets tossing him aside as soon as Sonny returned? If she had insisted on working out her feelings instead of burying them, perhaps Jason would still be alive? Carly and Sonny will officially split in the weeks ahead. This will make her regret pushing Jason away, once Sonny returned, even more.

6. Sonny And Nina

Sonny hates being alone. Once Carly makes it crystal clear that she wants to be left alone, he’ll head straight for Nina. The two will rationalize that they now have a real chance to see if “Mike” and Nina’s love is as great in Port Charles as it was in Nixon Falls. The only problem? They’ll move way too fast.

5. Mommy Nina Moves In!

Whether Nina officially moves in or simply spends more time with Donna and Avery, Carly will lose her mind when she sees her with Sonny and the kids. Maybe the soon-to-be-former Mrs. Corinthos will run into her ex with Reeves and Wiley in tow. Michael or Willow will need a sitter in a pinch, and Sonny will offer his services. Corinthos will run into Nina and they’ll decide to make a day of it with Wiley. It won’t be a good scene when all four accidentally bump into each other!

4. Leo’s Storyline

No petty drama here — just a beautiful storyline about a sweet boy who will finally be given the tools and support he needs to thrive! Young actor Easton Sweda is a rock star in the role of Leo and is helping to increase awareness about the journey both parents and children go through when dealing with autism. Leo will officially become a Quartermaine in the coming months, as Olivia and Ned get much closer.

3. Leo’s A Hero

While Leo will have his ups, the family may experience some downs, too. It’s all part of the process! The good news is that the family of three will navigate this path together. With that said, could Leo be placed in other storylines over the winter? Could he be a little hero if someone tries to kidnap Bailey? Perhaps he’ll rat out a criminal who’s trying to sneak into the Quartermaine mansion? If Leo courageously rises to the occasion, it will further solidify that Olivia made the right decision to approach doctors about her son.

2. Victor Cassadine Causes Chaos

There’s a new threat emerging in Port Charles, as Sonny was recently advised by Brick. Could Victor Cassadine be behind it all? Is this “threat” someone who reports to Victor? He wants to bring Laura Spencer down, and he may achieve this if he corrupts the little town with drugs, illegal activities and chaos.

1. Esme’s Connection To Ryan

Will this ever be exposed to GH fans? It’s likely that Esme’s connection to Ryan will come out in the next few months. She’s clearly a relative of some sort. Could she be his adopted or “real” daughter? If so, how will Kevin react when he knows he has a niece who is teetering on the same evil genius his brother has? Will Kevin learn the truth, too?
