2016 MTV VMAs: 5 Best Dressed Stars

When it comes to any awards show, being a winner doesn’t always mean taking home a trophy. Every major celebrity event is a chance for the stars to try to outshine the others on the red carpet, and the MTV Video Music Awards are no exception. Unlike many other awards shows, the VMAs allow for a lot more fashion risks and a wide scale of styles on the red carpet and celebrities really take advantage of that, especially this year it seems! Some may not have hit a high note with their outfit choices, but these five ladies knew what they were doing to turn heads in all the right ways!

5. Kailyn Lowry

It was harder than expected to pick out the best outfits of the night, but MTV’s Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry definitely upped her fashion game for the big night and it paid off! Lowry showed off her recently enhanced bust in a lacy high-neck top and classic high-waist black pants. She pulled the classy-casual look together with match red lips and perfectly tousled hair.

4. Hailey Baldwin

Hailey Baldwin showed us why she is one of the hottest up and coming models of the moment with this edgy black and beaded Geroges Chakra jumpsuit. The sheer body was embellished with palm-like designs. She set the look off with dark makeup, strappy Giuseppe Zanotti Design sandals and lots of jewelry courtesy of Ofira and Lorraine Schwartz.

3. Beyonce

As per usual, most of the talk of the night surrounds Beyonce starting with her red carpet entrance. Queen B arrived hand-in-hand with daughter Blue Ivy donning a semi-sheer, mint gown, and while that would have been quite enough, she really took it to another level with a feathery-winged statement collar. On anyone else, this look would be a no-go but, as fans have learned, Beyonce can really pull anything off.

2. Britney Spears

As time goes on it really seems Britney Spears just keeps getting hotter and hotter. Fans were beyond excited for Spears’ return to the VMAs’ stage for her first performance in almost ten years, but she started things off right with a memorable arrival. She kept things sexy yet simple with a long black dress featuring bold cutouts. Matched with classic pointy pumps and her long blonde locks, all eyes were on Britney!

1. Nicki Minaj

For many, Nicki Minaj’s fashion choices are really hit or miss, but this year she hit the bullseye in a deep blue Bao Tranchi gown. It was definitely sexy with many cutouts around the chest and sides but it fit her like a glove, showing of all her gorgeous curves. Minaj kept her makeup and hair minimal, letting the dress do the talking and added a few spearkes with jewelry from Harry Kotlar and Le Vian.
