20. Miss: Greta Gerwig
Greta Gerwig stepped out wearing a green velvet dress for the 2020 BAFTAs that we admittedly weren’t the biggest fans of. The sparkling straps of the dress sat at an awkward place on her chest and felt like they didn’t flow in combination with the green velvet.

Hannah John-Kamen looked gorgeous at the 2020 BAFTAs where she rocked a navy glitter dress. We love the subtle sheer quality to this look that showed a little skin in the most elegant way possible.

Alice Eve stepped out at the 2020 BAFTAs wearing a white and silver fringe dress. The fringe, unfortunately, didn’t feel luxe or elevated with this look though. It hung awkwardly from her shoulders and felt sparse at the layer closest to the floor.
EPA/NEIL HALL17. Hit: Naomie Harris
Naomie Harris stunned at the 2020 BAFTAs where she stepped out wearing this gunmetal metallic gown. We love the unique texture and pattern of this look and the fringe along the thigh-high slit was flattering and unexpected in the best way possible.

Rooney Mara missed the mark at the 2020 BAFTAs where she stepped out wearing this black floor-length number. The look seemed to overwhelm her figure with the bubble shape of the skirt and the oversized sleeve detailing.
EPA/NEIL HALL15. Hit: Kaitlyn Dever
Kaitlyn Dever looked angelic at the 2020 BAFTAs where she stepped out wearing this sparkling tiered gown. This pale iridescent color looked so flattering and dainty against Dever’s complexion and the ruffled tiers felt ultra-romantic.

Lily Rose-Depp missed the mark with this lace catsuit look she wore to the 2020 BAFTAs. The look felt like a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen and black lace didn’t feel fresh or revolutionary in any way.
EPA/NEIL HALL13. Hit: Daisy Ridley
Daisy Ridley stole the show at the 2020 BAFTAs wearing this emerald green dress with a sweetheart neckline. Our favorite detail of this look is the elegant one-sided cape sleeve which added the perfect touch of red carpet glamour.

Olivia Colman missed the mark with her look for the 2020 BAFTAs which consisted of a black floral-embellished gown. This look simply felt a little stifling with the heavy print, high-neckline and full-length sleeves.

Zoë Kravitz made heads turn at the 2020 BAFTAs where she stepped out wearing this long-sleeve gold number. We love that her stylist opted to pair the sequined long-sleeve dress with red accents on her accessories, lips, and nails which felt like the perfect contrast.
EPA/NEIL HALL10. Miss: Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie Turner-Smith stepped out at the BAFTAs wearing a bright yellow gown which featured an empire waist and a halter neckline. The shape of this dress didn’t feel the most flattering since it was so billowy and flowy.

Emila Clarke looked absolutely gorgeous in this slinky black dress with three-dimensional beading at the 2020 BAFTAs. We love the simple elegance of this look and how the sparkling beading adds an element of glamour.

Florence Pugh had an unfortunate fashion miss at the 2020 BAFTAs where she opted for a dramatic magenta pink and black number. The dress felt totally overwhelming on her petite figure, especially with the oversized sleeves and train.

Charlize Theron dazzled in this elegant violet-colored gown at the 2020 BAFTAs. We absolutely love this punchy shade of purple on her and the pleating along the skirt felt so delicate and feminine.

Saoirse Ronan wore a black satin gown for the 2020 BAFTAs that we have to admit we didn’t love on her. The drop-style waist hit at an awkward length and the material of the skirt seemed to bunch and wrinkle which looked a little unflattering.

Renee Zellweger wore one of the most fabulous looks of the evening at the 2020 BAFTAs. We love this luxe satin texture and feminine pink color on her. The contrast of the soft sweetheart neckline paired with the structural shoulders was a perfect combination.
EPA/NEIL HALL4. Miss: Laura Dern
Laura Dern missed the mark at the 2020 BAFTAs where she opted for a bright pink dress that featured an embellished bodice and full skirt. While we love this shade of pink on Dern, we’re not sure the embellishment on the chest was the most flattering since the shape was a little boxy.
EPA/NEIL HALL3. Hit: Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson absolutely dazzled at the 2020 BAFTAs where she opted for a coral pink dress which featured a plunging neckline and full feathered skirt. This number hugged her curves perfectly and the combination of the feathers and sequins worked fabulously.

Margot Robbie had an unfortunate fashion miss at the 2020 BAFTAs where she opted for this black flowy dress with lace cap sleeves. The look simply felt a little dull in comparison to some of the other red carpet dresses and lacked any interesting embellishment or glitz to make it stand out.

Kate Middleton had all eyes on her at the 2020 BAFTAs where she rocked this gold and white Alexander McQueen number which featured flattering cap sleeves and an empire waist. Kate first wore this gorgeous gown to a state dinner in Malaysia in 2012. It features a gold embroidered hibiscus design that pays homage to the country’s official flower.
