20. Missed The Mark: Maggie Siff

While this magenta dress worn by Maggie Siff certainly fits her well, we can’t help but feel this style of dress is a little outdated. Ombre had its moment a few years back and there are definitely more trendy color schemes that are relevant in 2019 that we wish she had opted for instead.

19. Nailed It: Allie Marie Evans

Allie Marie Evans stole the show when she stepped out wearing this sleek white dress with a cutout on the back for the Creative Arts Emmys. It was glamorous yet simple, which definitely made it a red carpet winner of the event.

18. Missed The Mark: Michele Clapton

We weren’t the biggest fans of Michele Clapton’s look for this year’s Creative Arts Emmys. The oversized bow on the collar of the top seemed to overwhelm her rather than act as a fashionable flair of detail.

17. Nailed It: Marie Kondo

Marie Kondo looked totally adorable at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing a white floor-length dress. We love the minimalist yet feminine details of this look like the metallic silver buttons and ruching along the bodice.

16. Missed The Mark: Deja Smith

Deja Smith stepped out at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys wearing a bold look that consisted of stripes and a rainbow assortment of colors. While we can appreciate Smith’s ability to take risks with her fashion, we’re not sure it was one that was well rewarded. The look appeared a little chaotic and busy with so much going on at once!

15. Nailed It: Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox was a total bombshell at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing this black ballroom gown with a soft jacquard texture. We love the sharp neckline of this look and the glamorous feel of the billowing skirt.

14. Missed The Mark: Beth Morgan

Beth Morgan had an unfortunate fashion miss at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys where she wore a gold dress with sheer detailing, sequins, and a tiered skirt. This look simply had too much going on at once, which is why it missed the mark.

13. Nailed It: Marin Hinkle

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Marin Hinkle looked polished and elegant at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing a sleek navy dress. She swept her hair into a tousled half-updo and wore a pop of berry on her lips which pulled the entire look together.

12. Missed The Mark: Angela Bassett

While we love to see a strong metallic dress on the red carpet, this one worn by Angela Bassett at the Creative Arts Emmys, unfortunately, missed the mark. The combination of the geometric stripe pattern and heavy sequins were quite overwhelming when paired together.

11. Nailed It: Sarah Shahi

Sarah Shahi looked elegant and sultry when she stepped out at the Creative Arts Emmys wearing this sleek, little black dress. The ruched, off-the-shoulder neckline was totally gorgeous, especially paired with dramatic gold earrings.

10. Missed The Mark: Barbara Corcoran

We weren’t the biggest fans of Barbara Corcoran’s gold look that she wore for the Creative Arts Emmys this year. The high-shine, stark shade of gold was quite harsh, especially paired with all the ruffles on the neckline and skirt.

9. Nailed It: Diane Guerrero

Diane Guerrero looked gorgeous at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing a metallic silver dress with elegant pleats and dramatic cutouts. We love that this ensemble was the perfect combination of glitzy and romantic.

8. Missed The Mark: Lisa Kudrow

While we can definitely support a strong suit moment on the red carpet, we weren’t totally convinced by this pale pink suit worn by Lisa Kudrow at the Creative Arts Emmys. The black piping on this look seemed to overwhelm the soft pink color and detract from the look as a whole.

7. Nailed It: Amber Stevens West

Amber Stevens West took a fashion risk with this teal pleated number at the Creative Arts Emmys, but we think it was a risk well rewarded! The tiers of the skirt are tapered which still allows the dress to flatter her figure. This color is also fabulous on Amber and works beautifully with her skin tone.

6. Missed The Mark: Natasha Lyonne

Natasha Lyonne missed the mark at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys where she wore a puffy blouse paired with a black pleated skirt. While the skirt is actually quite sophisticated and classy, the combination of the oversized blouse and strange belt seemed to detract from the ensemble.

5. Nailed It: Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn was a total bombshell at the Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing an iridescent sequin gown. The look hugged her figure perfectly and the 3D magenta roses along the side of the dress really pulled the look together.

4. Missed The Mark: Maya Rudolph

Maya Rudolph, unfortunately, missed the mark at the Creative Arts Emmys red carpet where she stepped out wearing a chocolate brown long sleeve dress. The color of this dress did nothing for her skin tone and the overall shape of the dress was a little unflattering.

3. Nailed It: Carrie Ann Inaba

Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba looked absolutely gorgeous at the Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing a plunging neckline dress that featured a black velvet sash around the waist. The combination of the gunmetal metallic and black velvet felt luxe and glamorous.

2. Missed The Mark: Nicole Scherzinger

We were quite disappointed with Nicole Scherzinger’s look at the Creative Arts Emmys this year. The look seemed to have way too much going on from the 3D embellishment on the chest to the black tiered skirt that didn’t seem to fit with the top of the dress.

1. Nailed It: Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian totally stole the show at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys where she stepped out wearing a sleek black dress with an asymmetrical neckline. We appreciate how modest and sophisticated Kim looks, especially with her hair pinned up into a polished top knot.
