Each year the first Monday of May marks the biggest event of the year when it comes to fashion — the annual Met Gala! The high-fashion event follows an extravagant theme that the red carpet attendees are intended to follow when they make their big fashion debut. This year’s theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” which meant many of the costumes encompassed heavy crosses, angel wings, and light, golden textures. The Met Gala is one of the only red carpet events where wearing an over-the-top outfit is the key to standing out and looking fabulous, so follow along for 14 of the most well-dressed stars at the 2018 Metropolitan Institute Costume Gala:
14. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley used angel imagery as her inspiration when dressing for the 2018 Met Gala. Her dress was designed by Ralph Lauren and featured a deep, plunging neckline and a soft, sheer cape which draped elegantly over her shoulders. To top the look, Whiteley wore a delicate angel halo on her head which really pulled the look together and amped the ensemble up from a typical red carpet look to a Met Gala costume.

13. Hailey Baldwin
Hailey Baldwin was all smiles last night at the Met Gala where she stepped out with boyfriend Shawn Mendes to make their official Hollywood debut! The two stepped out in style both wearing Tommy Hilfiger, but Baldwin definitely made jaws drop with her soft smokey blue dress. Bosworth nailed the Heavenly Bodies theme in the most elegant way possible and had all eyes on her as she dazzled her way across the red carpet.
