The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially wrapped up their 10-day royal Africa tour! Throughout the journey, Meghan definitely gave us quite a bit of style inspiration with her variety of chic shirt dresses and her ability to re-style older pieces from her wardrobe. Follow along as we round up and rank everything that Meghan wore while touring South Africa:

14. Nailed It
While visiting Victoria Yards, a creative hub for artists to share and work, Meghan looked absolutely gorgeous wearing a navy button-up dress. The elegant shirt dress is from the Canadian-label Artizia, which was one of her go-to brands while living in Toronto filming Suits. She paired the flattering day dress with bright red slingbacks from Everlane, another go-to sustainable favorite of hers.

13. Nailed It
During the tour, Meghan hosted a meeting in Cape Town with South African female activists to get a better understanding of how to navigate female rights in South Africa. For the occasion, Meghan dressed simply and professionally in a black tank top paired with a striped midi-length skirt. We love this look on Meghan because it feels very true to her simple personal style yet still makes her stand out as a royal.

12. Missed The Mark
While in Cape Town, Meghan made a private visit to the memorial for 19-year-old Uyinene Mrwetyana. For the occasion, she dressed casually in a frilly white tank top and dark wash jeans. While there’s nothing blatantly amiss about this outfit, we simply wish she wore something a little less simple! We understand her style is basic yet elevated; however, this look was something we’d imagine any other person wearing and didn’t make her stand out as a royal.

11. Nailed It
While visiting female entrepreneurs working in technology, Meghan wore an elegant black jumpsuit that featured a sash around the waist which she tied into a bow. The jumpsuit is from Everlane, which has been a favorite sustainable retailer of Meghan’s for years even before becoming a royal. The royal mom paired the sophisticated jumpsuit with black pumps and dramatic gold earrings by GAS Bijoux which were the perfect choice to complement her sleek low bun.

10. Missed The Mark
On the second day of the royal tour, Meghan dressed casually for the beach visit wearing a white button-up top from her SmartWorks capsule collection paired with black jeans and tan woven loafers. She layered up with a dark denim jacket which she rolled effortlessly at the sleeves. While we can certainly appreciate a simple look like this for a visit to the beach, we have to admit that it felt a little overly simple and dull for a Duchess.

9. Nailed It
Meghan stepped out in Africa re-wearing a gorgeous pink trench dress that she first wore in July 2018 during a visit to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition. Whether coincidentally or not, the Duchess repeated the blush trench dress for another Nelson Mandela-related engagement where she with Graca Machel, the wife of the late Nelson Mandela. For the occasion, she styled her hair styled in a low, loose bun and accessorized with beige heels.

8. Missed The Mark
During the royal Africa tour, Meghan paid a solo visit to the University of Johannesburg where she looked fall-ready wearing a green cotton shirt dress by the US brand, Room 502. While the color and shape of this dress are lovely, the material seemed to wrinkle and crease in all the wrong places which made it appear a little messy. We also would have much preferred if she paired the look with lighter cream heels to complement the color of the buttons on the dress!

7. Nailed It
On the last day of the royal tour, Meghan stepped out wearing a stunning white button-up shirt dress, which was her go-to style during the Africa tour, that she paired with nude heels and funky red tassel earrings. She was also wearing a beaded bracelet that was given to her during her visit with the after school program, The Teddy Bear Clinic, which works to raise awareness and end violence in schools.

6. Missed The Mark
On the second day of the royal tour, Meghan recycled a flowing striped maxi dress by Martin Grant that she also wore during the Australia tour last year. While we love the olive and burnt orange stripes, the shape of the dress isn’t the most flattering. Her figure seems to drown in the excess of material on the skirt and it also seems a little too long on her.

5. Nailed It
On the first day of the royal Africa tour, Meghan recycled a Veronica Beard dress that she previously wore during the royal Australia tour from fall 2018. The first time she wore the bright blue dress she styled her hair in a ponytail and paired the dress with powder blue pumps. This time around, Meghan styled the dress with her go-to black wrap wedges and wore her hair down in soft waves. This look feels quite consistent with Meghan’s basic yet elevated personal style, which is why we totally understand her decision for the repeat-wear!

4. Missed The Mark
On one of Harry and Meghan’s first appearances, the Duchess stepped out wearing a Malawi-made black and white wrap dress by Mayamiko and her go-to black wedge wrap espadrilles. While the shape of this dress is certainly flattering, the bold print didn’t seem to flow with Meghan’s typical personal style which usually consists of simple prints and clean lines.

3. Nailed It
For a solo visit to Johannesburg, the Duchess stepped out wearing a chic and affordable trench dress by Banana Republic in a sophisticated shade of khaki. She paired the look with a pair of nude Stuart Weitzman pumps and a bracelet by Alemdara. This dress looks amazing on Meghan and is the perfect combination of trendy yet still classic.

2. Missed The Mark
Meghan had an unfortunate fashion miss when she stepped out to visit a mosque in Africa wearing an olive green, cargo-style maxi dress paired with a cream headscarf. The shape of this dress didn’t seem properly tailored to her body and she even got tangled stepping on the hemline a few times.

1. Nailed It
One of the most iconic appearances of the entire Africa tour was when Meghan and Harry stepped out with baby Archie! This was the first close-up view we had of the royal baby and it was heartwarming to see how similar he looks to Harry. For the occasion, Meghan dazzled in a printed Club Monaco silk dress which she paired with navy pumps. She styled her hair in a sleek low bun and even coordinated with baby Archie in his adorable sky blue overalls.
