The 2022 SAG Awards brought together some of Hollywood’s brightest stars for a night of celebration. We saw everyone from Nicole Kidman to Reese Witherspoon to Salma Hayek. While some stars nailed their outfit and dazzled on the red carpet, others unfortunately missed the mark. Follow along as we rank all the memorable red carpet hits and misses from this year’s 2022 SAG Awards:
12. Hit: Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman opted for a gorgeous velvet black number at the 2022 SAG awards. The dress fit her like a dream and the Peter Pan collar feels very on trend for 2022. We also love that she paired this look with a red lip which adds a nice pop of color to her ensemble.

11. Miss: Elle Fanning
We admittedly weren’t the biggest fans of Elle Fanning’s look for this year’s SAG Awards. While we typically love a pantsuit fashion moment, this one felt a little too stifling with the high neckline paired with a bow tie.
3
10. Hit: Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga brought all the classic Hollywood glam with her look on the SAG red carpet. This sleek white dress was so dreamy and we love the pop of sequins on the bodice which added some dimension. For her beauty look, Gaga rocked a bold silver cat eye and old Hollywood style waves which made for a truly showstopping red carpet moment.

9. Miss: Ariana DeBose
Ariana DeBose opted for a neon pink look for this year’s 2022 SAG awards that may have missed the mark. While we absolutely love this vibrant color on her, the shape of the dress didn’t appear the most flattering, especially with the oversized billowing detail on the back of the dress.
5
8. Hit: Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez looked angelic on the SAG red carpet wearing this dramatic black number. Oversized shoulders were a huge trend in 2021 and will continue to be heading into 2022, and Selena definitely nailed this look. We love how she let the shape of the dress steal the show by keeping her hair and makeup minimal and clean.
6
7. Miss: Naomi Watts
We have to admit we aren’t the biggest fans of this sparkling black look that Naomi Watts opted for at the 2022 SAG awards. While we typically love a shimmering black number, this one had some unique detailing that wasn’t the most flattering and felt like it drowned her.
7
6. Hit: Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens absolutely dazzled as she channelled her inner mermaid for the SAG red carpet this year. We rarely see this unique shade of mint green on the red carpet, which truly made this number stand out in the best way. We love also love the sleek shape and flattering ruching with this look.
8
5. Miss: Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek opted for a red ruched number for the SAG red carpet that we felt missed the mark. The satin of this dress was crumpled which made it appear a little messy and less sophisticated. We also weren’t the biggest fans of the sheer gloves she paired with this look which felt a little over the top.

4. Hit: Venus Williams
Venus Williams stole the show with this white and metallic number she rocked at the 2022 SAG awards. The corset detailing paired with the sleek white long sleeve felt so unique and different which really made this look stand out in the best way. Metallic silver is a huge trend heading into 2022 and Williams channelled the trend perfectly with this number.
10
3. Miss: Jada Pinkett Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith opted for a navy and black number at the SAG awards that we felt missed the mark. While this rich shade of navy looks gorgeous on her, the shape of the dress felt a little awkward. We also didn’t love the black long sleeves that peaked out beneath the dress and felt misplaced.
11
2. Hit: Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon’s look for this year’s SAGs was the perfect example of less is more. This simple black number had a unique structured neckline that made the look feel elevated and chic. We also love that this look has a dramatic baby blue sash which brings an unexpected pop of color.
12
1. Miss: Sandra Oh
Sandra Oh is typically a fashion all-star when it comes to the red carpet but we have to admit we didn’t love this silver look she wore to the 2022 SAGs. There seemed to be a little too much going on at once from the metallic silver color to the ruched tiers to the oversized bows on the shoulders.
