Often these fabulous fashion moments remind us of the Disney characters of our childhood, so follow along as we recap all the times the royal family dressed like our favorite Disney stars:

18. Meghan Markle & Belle
Meghan Markle is a huge fan of shirt dresses and so is one of our favorite Disney princesses: Belle from Beauty and the Beast! One of Belle’s iconic outfits from the film is this periwinkle blue shirt dress that looks remarkably similar to one worn by Markle while touring Australia. They even both wore their hair in a ponytail.

Another comparison between the Disney characters and royal family members has to be between Queen Elizabeth and Lady Tremaine in Cinderella! This royal purple color worn by Queen Elizabeth has an uncanny resemblance to Lady Tremaine’s frilly dress from the original film.

When Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stepped out for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding, the first reaction of their ensembles was the obvious resemblance to the evil stepsisters from Cinderella: Anastasia and Drizella! The color of their dresses, the hair, and the fancy fascinators are nearly identical to that of the stepsisters in the film.

One of Kate Middleton’s most memorable fashion moments occurred when she stepped out wearing this pretty yellow tea dress in 2012. The soft cap sleeves and buttercup yellow color definitely gives us Snow White vibes!
14. Prince Harry & Prince Eric
Prince Harry looked so handsome when he visited the Christ Church Cathedral in the Bahamas back in 2012. For the occasion, he wore his white uniform and sash that look remarkably similar to the uniform worn by Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid!

Princess Merida from Brave is known for her deep teal long-sleeve dress that she wears for the majority of the film. When Kate Middleton stepped out in London ahead of their royal tour of Pakistan wearing this long sleeve teal dress with a sash, we couldn’t help but make comparisons to Princess Merida’s iconic gown.

Diana looked every bit the Disney princess when she stepped out wearing this striking pink gown paired with a tiara! We definitely can see the resemblance between Diana’s look and Princess Aurora’s feminine pink gown from Sleeping Beauty.

Meghan Markle is a huge fan of a practical trench dress, which could definitely be interpreted as a modern-day version of Pocahontas’ iconic outfit from the film. Both looks are pragmatic and comfortable, yet they still cinch in at the waist to flatter the figure.

Princess Diana stole the show when she stepped out of the car wearing this glimmering silver gown with a sweeping skirt! We can’t help but compare the sparkling fashion moment to Cinderella’s dress from the original film, especially with the padded shoulders and emphasized fabric on the hips.

Little Princess Charlotte definitely reminded us of Marie from The Aristocats when she attended the Trooping the Color ceremony in 2016 in the arms of her mother, Kate Middleton. The frilly pink details of her dress and the bow in her hair are definitely similar to those worn by Marie in the film.

We can’t help but compare this green glittering dress worn by Kate Middleton during the royal Pakistan tour to Ariel’s signature look in The Little Mermaid. The sequins on Kate’s dress certainly reminded us of Ariel’s shimmering green mermaid tail!

No one can forget the time that Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the Calgary stampede rocking Western-inspired ensembles complete with cowboy boots, hats, and belts! The obvious comparison with this look is to Woody and Jessie from Disney’s Toy Story.
