25. Nailed It: The Hateful Eight Premiere 2015

Zendaya looked poised and polished in this blue lace dress that she wore to the premiere of The Hateful Eight in 2015. The look was quite feminine and sophisticated, but also a little sultry with the sheer crochet detailing on the bodice and skirt.

24. Missed The Mark: Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2015

Zendaya had an unfortunate fashion miss at the 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards when she stepped out wearing this yellow dress with multi-color stripes. The dress blended in nearly identically with the background of the red carpet, which definitely detracted from an otherwise pretty style moment.

23. Nailed It: Golden Globe Awards 2016

Zendaya nailed her red carpet look at the 2016 Golden Globes where she stepped out wearing a wine-colored dress with a jacquard print. The deep red color looks fabulous on her skin tone and the billowing tiers add an old Hollywood glamour effect.

22. Missed The Mark: Diamond Ball 2015

Zendaya certainly has the long legs to pull off wide-leg pants, but these ones she wore to the 2015 Diamond Ball are simply a little too wide for our liking. Rather than looking chic and sophisticated, they appear slightly balloon-like and drown her. We love the asymmetrical crop top and chandelier earrings, but tailoring the pants definitely would have created an overall better effect with this outfit.

21. Nailed It: Star Wars Premiere 2015

Zendaya totally stole the show with this unique look she wore to the Star Wars world premiere in 2015. We love how unique this look is with the cozy, turtleneck sweater dress that’s layered with glitzy gemstones on the skirt. We’ve never seen anything like this dress before on the red carpet, which is why it was such a swoon-worthy red carpet moment.

20. Missed The Mark: American Music Awards 2014

As much as we love Zendaya’s theatrical side when it comes to fashion, we can’t get behind this look she wore to the 2014 American Music Awards. The material of the pants appeared wrinkled and disheveled and the blue halter top seemed randomly paired with gold.

19. Nailed It: Spider-man Homecoming Photocall 2017

Zendaya looked absolutely stunning when she stepped out at the Spider-man Homecoming photocall wearing this flouncy periwinkle dress. We love the flattering slip-style cut of this dress and the feminine ruffles add something unexpected and unique.

18. Missed The Mark: Met Gala 2017

We, unfortunately, weren’t huge fans of the look that Zendaya wore to the Met Gala in 2017. Normally she’s one of the most anticipated guests at the event for her tendency to break boundaries with fashion, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with her look in 2017. The oversized parrots on her dress were definitely questionable and something we couldn’t overlook.

17. Nailed It: Glamour Women Of The Year 2017

Zendaya looked seriously gorgeous at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year event. This pink satin jumpsuit fit her like a dream and gave off total Barbie vibes. We love the bow on the hip which added a 3-dimensional detail and even more visual interest.

16. Missed The Mark: Teen Choice Awards 2017

While we love the pajama trend that was all the rage in 2017, we think there’s definitely a way to style the trend without appearing sloppy and undone. Zendaya, unfortunately, missed the mark with the trend at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards. Her look simply appeared like straight-up pajamas rather than a chic, red carpet-appropriate take on the trend.

15. Nailed It: Without A Net Premiere 2017

Zendaya dazzled at the 2017 Without A Net premiere where she stepped out wearing this striking pink beaded number. We love all the delicate detail and glitzy beading on this dress, especially paired with the flattering scoop neck cut.

14. Missed The Mark: Fashion Awards 2017

We have to admit we weren’t the biggest fans of this velvet number that Zendaya wore to the Fashion Awards in 2017. While we love the unique neckline, star embellishment and velvet texture, the strange mesh on the bodice was quite distracting and didn’t seem to quite fit with the rest of the dress.

13. Nailed It: Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2018

Zendaya stole the show when she stepped out at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party wearing this ethereal champagne gown. We love the flattering mermaid shape of this dress and the whimsical combination of sequins and tulle. She looked like a beautiful ballerina, especially with the sleek top knot!

12. Missed The Mark: Euphoria Premiere 2019

Organza dresses and tops have been a huge trend in 2019, however, there is definitely a risk factor when trying this trend since it’s so bold. Unfortunately, Zendaya missed the mark with the organza trend when she stepped out wearing this white frilly dress at the Euphoria premiere. We would have much preferred to see the organza incorporated in a more subtle, understated way like on the sleeves or the hemline.

11. Nailed It: Teen Choice Awards 2019

We love this fresh and airy look that Zendaya wore to the 2019 Teen Choice Awards. It was refreshing to see a shorts and button-up shirt combo among a sea of standard red carpet dresses. Zendaya still managed to look sharp and sophisticated despite not wearing a dress, especially with the classy pointed-toe pumps she accessorized the gingham top and green shorts with.

10. Missed The Mark: Oscars 2018

We had high expectations for Zendaya’s Oscars look in 2018, but unfortunately, we weren’t all that impressed. The chocolate brown color did nothing to highlight her complexion and the dress lacked any unique detail to make it stand out.

9. Nailed It: Oscars 2015

Zendaya nailed her Oscars look in 2015 when she stepped out wearing a sleek white dress that fit her like a glove. The satin texture and dainty off-the-shoulder neckline made for a seriously angelic fashion moment that no one could forget.

8. Missed The Mark: Met Gala 2018

We love keeping an eye out for Zendaya’s Met Gala looks, but we weren’t overly thrilled with what she decided to wear to the 2018 Met Gala. While the dress itself is certainly quite intricate and detailed, the red-tinted wig with short bangs seemed like a strange option to pair with it. She was nearly unrecognizable!

7. Nailed It: GQ Men of the Year Awards 2018

Zendaya stunned at the 2018 GQ Men of the Year Awards where she stepped out wearing a rich purple dress with gold bead detailing. This color combination isn’t a common one, which is exactly why it was such a memorable fashion moment. The gown fit her like a dream with all the flattering draping and the thigh-high slit.

6. Missed The Mark: Grammys 2016

Zendaya shocked everyone when she stepped out at the 2016 Grammys looking nearly unrecognizable in a tailored black tuxedo and blond wig. While we can certainly appreciate Zendaya for her androgynous fashion moment, we can’t overlook the blonde mullet she decided to rock. Mullets aren’t a trend we ever want to see make a comeback on the red carpet!

5. Nailed It: Met Gala 2019

One of Zendaya’s most memorable red carpet looks of all time was her look for the 2019 Met Gala! She channeled her inner Cinderella with an iridescent dress that featured puff sleeves and a voluminous tulle skirt. She wore her hair in the classic Cinderella updo with a headband to complete the look. She even brought a fairy godfather along with her to really bring the vision to life.

4. Missed The Mark: MTV Movie & TV Awards 2018

We were quite disappointed with this chocolate brown dress that Zendaya wore to the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Not only did the color do nothing to highlight her features, but the latex-like texture and cupcake shape of this dress was quite strange paired together.

3. Nailed It: Spider-Man: Homecoming Premiere 2017

One of our favorite Zendaya looks of all time is this bright pink dress that she wore to the Spider-Man Homecoming premiere in 2017. The dress was a true Barbie moment with the bright neon color and matching pointed-toe pumps. We also love the unique cutout neckline and the glamorous train of this look, which made this style moment a true show-stopper.

2. Missed The Mark: Fashion Media Awards 2019

Zendaya had an unfortunate style miss at the 2019 Fashion Media Awards where she stepped out wearing this wine-colored velvet suit. While the suit itself is actually quite chic, the bold polka-dotted top wasn’t the best choice to flatter it. We also didn’t love the baker boy hat that she wore which sat low on her head and covered her beautiful face!

1. Nailed It: Emmy Awards 2019

Of all the red carpet looks from the 2019 Emmys, our absolute favorite was Zendaya’s gorgeous emerald dress with a corset bodice. This color works flawlessly with her complexion and the entire shape and vibe of this look felt ultra-luxurious and chic.
