ABC Announces Air Date For Bruce Jenner’s Transformation Interview

ABC News announced on Monday April, 6 when exactly Bruce Jenner’s exclusive interview with renowned journalist Diane Sawyer would take place after it was previously announced earlier that she had landed the first interview in which he will finally open up about his transition from male to female.

The much anticipated sit down talk, Bruce Jenner – The Interview will air on April 24 at 9 p.m. ABC has confirmed.

Sawyer apparently interviewed the former Olympian around the same time the news of his transition went public and is the launching point of the 65-year old sharing his journey with the public.

At first it was believed the interview would act as an introduction to his own docu-series about the the big change in his life however, Jenner recently put the production of the E! show on hold after feeling he was being rushed.

As well as worrying about his own family, Jenner is also expressing concern over presenting the very serious time in his life via a reality show as well as ensuring it does not negatively impact the transgender community.

“Bruce’s primary goal is to bring awareness to this issue in order to help others. He is not sure that E! and a reality show is the best format to do that,” a source stated previously of his decision to put a hold on the series.
