Nobody is a bigger Maroon 5 fan than Christopher Warner — so Adam Levine gave him the star treatment!

Christopher Warner, a 10 year-old Maryland boy with Down’s Syndrome, inspired his teacher to reach out to Adam. “He has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine,” said Avery Stanert, a special education teacher at Christopher’s school. “He loves to listen to their music during work breaks. He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them.”

Avery created a YouTube video of Christopher’s obsession and it quickly went viral, making its way to local news stations and radio hosts at Hot 99.5’s The Kane Show, days before the band was scheduled to perform in nearby Washington, D.C.

“They arranged for backstage passes and tickets,” Stanert explained. “They immediately called the record label and worked it all out.”

Christopher, his mother and three other teachers got to attend the show and get the VIP treatment backstage. “He stayed awake for the whole thing. I was impressed. He was just so excited,” Stanert said.

Christopher even got to meet his idol, Adam — but was so overwhelmed that he panicked. Adam handled the situation with grace, suggesting that everyone get down on the floor — and it worked!
