Alec Baldwin is opening up for the first time since the fatal shooting on the set of the film, Rust.

Baldwin sat down with George Stephanopoulos for his first interview since the fatal shooting occurred on October 21st. The full interview will air on Thursday at 8 p.m. EST, but ABC gave a preview of the hourlong sit-down interview on Wednesday.

During the interview Baldwin revealed that he “didn’t pull the trigger” on the gun that killed Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer on the set. When asked if he pulled the trigger on the gun, Baldwin said, “The trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger. I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger on them, never.”

In the preview Baldwin also reveals that he had “no idea” how there was a live bullet in a gun that was intended to be a prop. “Someone put a live bullet in a gun,” he said. “A bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”

“Even now, I find it hard to believe that [the incident occurred],” he continued. “It doesn’t seem real to me.”

Baldwin is also seen in the interview getting very emotional. Through his tears, Baldwin called Hutchins “someone who was loved by everyone who worked with [her], liked by everyone who worked with and admired.”

The full interview will air on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will be streaming on Hulu the following day. There will also be a two-hour 20/20 special airing on December 10th to breakdown the details and investigations of the incident.
