Amanda Bynes’ Lawyer Says She Is Not Pregnant 2 Months After Instagram Announcement

Nearly two months after Bynes shared a now-deleted ultrasound photo on her Instagram account, Bynes’ lawyer David Esquibias said that the actress is not expecting a baby with her partner Paul Michael.

In mid-March, Michael also shared a now-deleted series of photos on Instagram which included a selfie of himself with the 34-year-old actress, as well as an ultrasound image with Bynes’ name on it.
“Baby in the making,” she captioned the post. At the time, an insider confirmed to PEOPLE that the She’s The Man actress was pregnant.
While her partner deleted the ultrasound photo, Michael still has photographs of their engagement rings on his Instagram account. His post came just a few days after Bynes and Michael called off their engagement.
Hours after the couple’s pregnancy announcement, Esquibias released a statement to PEOPLE asking for privacy on behalf of the former actress as she sought “treatment for ongoing mental health issues.”
A source, who is close to Bynes, at the time confirmed to PEOPLE that Bynes had left her sober living facility to check into a treatment center for continuing care of mental health issues.
Esquibias added that Bynes is currently “sheltering at a safe environment” amid the ongoing public health situation and hasn’t moved back into a sober living facility.
On March 1, Bynes celebrated a year and two months of sobriety, sharing a series of photos with two unidentified men on Instagram.
The actress sought help in January 2019 after months of struggles that followed her decision to step back into the public eye.
While details of Bynes relation to Michael remain sparse, a source close to the What A Girl Wants star previously confirmed to PEOPLE that they met at the end of 2019.
Bynes and Michael got engaged on Valentine’s Day of this year, however, the couple decided to split three weeks later.
The pair reunited in early March when Bynes shared a selfie of herself with Michael on March 9, captioning the post, “My love 🖤.”
