Amanda Bynes is back on the streets of LA after getting released from rehab.
After spending the last two weeks on psychiatric hold at a rehab facility, the 28 year-old actress was released because doctors felt she was stable enough that she could not be held against her will for the rest of her 30-day hold.
Upon leaving the facility, Amanda headed to the Sunset Strip, where she ate a large meal and Mel’s Diner and tried to get a room at a hotel.
Her waiter said she devoured fried chicken, salmon, Caesar salad with guacamole, and a house salad with Italian and ranch, explaining that she was extra hungry because she recently lost twenty pounds. She didn’t want anyone to see her eating because she was afraid she’d “look like a fat a–.”
Amanda was chatty with the waiter, who said the actress didn’t seem “with it”; she would continue mumbling to herself even after the waitress walked away.
In a large black coat, Amanda attempted to cover her face as she walked down the Strip and tried to obtain a hotel room. Apparently, she was turned away from a number of places.
This morning, Amanda tweeted about her mental state: “Going to court today with my lawyer to prove that I am more than capable of handling my personal life and finances and I am enraged.”
“I got released from the hospital that Sam Lufti and my parents arranged to send me to because my dad is humiliated by what he’s done,” she continued, adding that people have been “fooled” and that she “cannot continue to allow them to abuse me.”
