Amy Schumer’s star has been rising very quickly thanks to the success of her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer and of course the massive success of her summer blockbuster Trainwreck.

Thanks to Schumer’s increasing popularity, sources report that the bidding war for the comedienne’s memoir/essay collection was finalized just hours after her Emmy win and it seems she stands to earn a lot of money from her words as well as her performances.

Schumer’s agent had been shopping the book deal around with major publishing houses and it seems the final and winning bid came in between $8-10 million from Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books. For right now the working title for the anticipated book is The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, and is already framing to be very Trainwreck-like but in book form.

Schumer’s memoir will be just one of many by female comedians to take the book market by storm lately; some of the others include Lena Dunham’s Not That Kind of Girl, Tina Fey’s Bossypants and Mindy Kaling’s Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns).

While all of those were successful, Schumer’s is the most sought after as by comparison Dunham got $3.7 million for hers and even Fey’s winning bid was less, coming in at $6 million.
