For many, this season of The Bachelor hasn’t been as interesting as seasons from the past, and while some may think Arie Luyendyk Jr. is boring, that opinion might change after his Bachelor finale.
WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD!
In the most recent episode, Arie eliminated Kendall Long which means his whole season comes down to Lauren Burnham and Becca Krupin, but if the Women Tell All segment is any indication things are going to get quite dramatic. On the Women Tell All segment, Caroline Lunny burst out saying, “I know what you did,” and Arie knows that isn’t the only backlash he is going to get. “There are things I want to get off my chest and those are things I’m waiting to do during the finale,” he said at the Women Tell All taping.
He admitted it was difficult to not respond to Caroline’s comment but added that his hoping people will “understand” him more when the finale airs.
“I think that people are going to understand me a lot more and understand the ending and understand why Caroline’s upset,” he said. “But this is my journey and this is about finding a lasting love and that road is not always the easiest. Hopefully people will understand more.” He said he finds the nasty comments about him “hilarious”, adding, “I always read the not-so-nice comments, but I laugh at them. I think they’re really funny, they’re really creative,” he said, saying they don’t “really weigh” on him as he’s just hoping the show is “entertaining” for fans to watch.
He also reiterated that he knows people are going to be mad and there will be backlash but is adamant it wouldn’t bother him because “It’s all about the ending and finding that person for yourself and that’s the important part. I’m very happy.”
Of course, the mysterious drama, and why Arie is so prepared for outraged fans isn’t really a secret if you follow the spoilers from Reality Steve. Every season Reality Steve has had behind the scenes dirt and after a boring season, he reports things are going to flip on their head. According to Reality Steve, Arie chooses Becca and proposes to her, but had a change of heart after the season began to air. “Arie ended his engagement with Becca a little over a week ago and is now dating Lauren. That’s why he was in Virginia last week at Lauren’s parents house,” Reality Steve reported on January 23. Of course, the news that Arie goes back to his runner-up might not be that surprising, as Arie has been insistent since the beginning that he “fell in love with two women,” so the hints were there all along.
