Ashton Kutcher Reveals Details Behind Wyatt’s Name
Published on October 29, 2014.New parents Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have been keeping a low profile since the birth of their baby girl on September 30, 2014.
Now, Ashton is back out and about doing interviews and cannot wait to gush about his family as was evident in his recent appearance on Conan.
The 36-year old star discussed being a hands on parent and not understanding a parents’ love til meeting his little girl, “We don’t have a nanny or anything. It’s just the two of us. It’s unbelievable. It’s the greatest thing on earth. As soon as this child was born I immediately wanted to call my parents and just apologize because I never knew how much they loved me.”
He also discussed how him and fiancée Mila Kunis decided on their daughter’s name, Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher and revealed that they had a completely different name picked out before they even knew Mila was pregnant, “But then when we were pregnant, the name just didn’t fit the energy we were feeling. One night Mila was just like, ‘This is not the name!’ I’m like, ‘Ok! It’s not the name.’ I had to get the creative juices going,” Kutcher explained.
He then explained that on the way to a Los Angeles Lakers game he started naming everything in sight, “Then I was like, ‘All right I’ve got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?’ She goes, ‘That’s it.’ I was like, ‘Really? I did it?’ She was like, ‘Yeah, that’s it.'”
As for her middle name he said it was after Mila’s grandfather to incorporate a little “heritage” in her name.
As well as talking fatherhood and baby names Kutcher was asked about the final season of the show, Two and a Half Men, and the possibility of Charlie Sheen making a return, to which Kutcher stated, “I don’t even care. I think he’s really ‘wah wah wah.’ It’s not a thing for me.”
Parenthood seems to really suit Mila and Ashton as the two have even set up an email account for their daughter and write her so that she can open them and read it one day.
For right now they are getting ready to celebrate Wyatt’s first Halloween, “We’re going as the three little pigs. Not my idea, but I’m sucking it up,” Kutcher joked.
