Australia Threatens To Put Down Johnny Depp’s Dogs

Johnny Depp brought two illegal passengers with him to Australia via private jet. His Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard share their lives, and within those lives, a couple of dogs. Unfortunately, these little guys were unwelcome when they arrived in Australia. The Australian Minister of Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce, didn’t take kindly to Pistol and Boo entering the country without following the rules which govern the continental nation. They calls those rules laws, and Johnny was guilty of breaking them.

According to Australian law, all dogs entering the country must do so by permit, and then they must endure a mandatory 10-day quarantine to ensure that the animals are healthy, and not a threat to spread any disease to other animals, including local civilians.

So, what does this mean? Well, Barnaby Joyce has given the order that Johnny get the dogs out of Australia by Saturday, or he’s sending law enforcement after the dogs.

Yes, it may seem stringent, but according to Joyce, it’s no minor matter.

“The way this works is if we are going to make an excuse for Johnny Depp because he’s got a private jet and brought in his dogs, then I suppose you have to start making exemptions and excuses for everybody. The reason you can walk through a park in Brisbane and not have in the back of your mind, ‘What happens if a rabid dog comes out and bites me or bites my kid?’ is because we’ve kept that disease out. I’ll tell you how close it is: it’s in Bali, it’s just next door. So this is not fanciful stuff, and therefore we’re very diligent about what comes into our nation.”

There you have it, Johnny and Amber. Pistol and Boo will have to go home.
