There has been an interesting twist in the story that has been surrounding former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Eason and her husband David over the past few months!

On Thursday, July 11, reality TV outlet The Ashley reported that a new release from the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office states that Jenelle made up the story about her husband David shooting her dog Nugget for “publicity.”

The authorities reported that on April 29th Jenelle contacted the Sheriff’s Office in relation to the incident and told them “at approximately 6:30 pm, her dog bit her daughter, leaving a scratch on her face. Eason advised that her husband, David Eason, threw the dog outside. She then advised that after David realized that the dog scratched their child, he went outside and shot the dog. During this conversation, Jenelle stated that she did hear a gunshot but did not witness the incident.”

Shortly after the incident David seemingly confirmed what he had done in an Instagram post, writing,“I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face… whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that shit at all.”

He added, “I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isnt the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge weather or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”

Reports from authorities indicate that several more visits were made to Jenelle and David’s home including a search warrant that was executed. “Columbus County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of the residence and property. No weapons were located inside of the residence or on the property. Investigators processed the residence and the property, locating no blood evidence or any other physical evidence to validate that an animal had been fatally injured on the property. Jenelle was not present during the search.”

By May, it seems Jenelle’s story had changed and she told them that she actually did not hear anything that made her believe David had shot her dog, and simply did not know where Nugget was, and Jenelle reportedly admitted that she made the story up for publicity. “Jenelle stated that the reason she filed the animal cruelty report was for the publicity and because she did not know where her dog was,” the news release states. “The evidence collected indicates that the allegations of animal cruelty were fabricated. Therefore, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is closing this investigation. No charges will be filed in this case.”

Now, the situation is more confusing than ever because the incident is what caused Jenelle to lose her job from Teen Mom 2 and MTV, and led to a months long custody battle after her son Kaiser, David’s daughter Maryssa, and the couple’s daughter Ensley was removed from the home.

On Wednesday July 4, a judge ruled that Jenelle and David had regained custody of their three children.
