Bachelor Ben Spoilers 2016: How He May Have Accidentally Revealed The Winner

We’re only a couple of weeks away from the finale of The Bachelor 2016 and, as always, who Ben H picks is on everyone’s minds. Just like past seasons, Reality Steve has provided fans with his detailed list of spoilers (all of which have been correct thus far this season). The question is, is he right – or is it going to be a repeat of Ali Fedotowsky’s season or Brad Womack’s second season where Steve changed the winner spoiler right before the finale aired? Well, if Ben Higgin’s People blog this week is any indication, Reality Steve is right again.

While this is in no way concrete evidence that Ben picks Lauren in the end (which it is reported that he does), it is an interesting thing I noticed while reading his blog this week. Could we be looking too deeply into this? Absolutely! But it’s definitely revealing.

Okay, so here’s what I noticed:

In his blog, Ben goes through each of his hometown dates with the girls. We know that JoJo and Lauren are the final 2. I don’t think anyone is going to disagree with that. Here’s where it gets interesting. When Ben talks about Lauren B in his article, he tends to refer to things in the present tense. He’ll say things like “I was really happy that Lauren’s family was able to see how seriously I am taking this and how much Lauren means to me as well.” On the other hand, when he talks about JoJo in the same article, he refers to her in the past tense. For example, he says “JoJo had really come to mean so much to me” (not “means” like he used with Lauren) or “Watching the show now, I hope they can see how incredibly serious I was about JoJo.”

Again, I could be grasping at straws here but, in my opinion, the way he writes about Lauren vs. all of the other girls is very telling. He seems to talk about her as if he’s still in a relationship with her and the other girls in the past tense as if their relationships are over.
