Current Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay has received an overwhelming amount of support from her loyal fans as she took on the 21st season of the show, but not without the added pressure of being the first black woman to star as the lead.

Rachel has been admired for how graceful she is on the show, but she has definitely proven that she has no patience for drama. So, when Leah Block, who first appeared on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor, made a “joke” regarding the cast’s current multi-racial cast, Rachel Lindsay took it upon herself to respond.

“I’m sitting here watching @BacheloretteABC and my roommate just sat down on the couch and said, ‘What is this? @LoveAndHipHop_?’ DEAD,” Block wrote in reference to the cast’s diverse contestants. Almost immediately Bachelor Nation spoke up against Block’s racist comment. Astrid Loch, who competed on Nick Viall’s season, replied, “Are you watching with Lee?” in reference to the Lee’s previous racist remarks.

Rachel took the situation into her own hands by responding to Block’s tweet directly. She replied, “Let me know if she wants to meet Lee. They sound like they would have a lot in common. #ihavetimetoday,” referencing Block’s similarity to Lee when it comes to insensitive comments.

Block deleted the offensive tweet and deactivated her Twitter account after being called out by Lindsay herself. She also set her Instagram account to private.
