Beck Responds And Jay Z Reacts To Kanye’s Grammy Slam

After a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, it actually seemed like Kanye West wasn’t as much of the egotistical and unapologetically rude celebrity that he once was, but he almost reverted to his old ways at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 8), showing maybe he hasn’t changed that much.

While West has said many damning things against his reputation as a humble guy, one of the most infamous incidents occurred at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards with his “Imma let you finish” rant, interrupting Taylor Swift’s win over Beyonce.

History almost repeated itself at the Grammys however when Beck beat out Beyonce for Album of the Year and West once again rushed the stage, but this time decided against stealing Beck’s spotlight at the last minute, so at least his judgement has improved marginally.

While he didn’t interrupt Beck, that didn’t stop him from speaking his mind at the after party saying Beck should have “given his award to Beyonce.”

That wasn’t all either, West went on to slam not only Beck but the Grammys as well, appearing at the awards show for the first time in six years after dissing the awards show previously in a rant in 2013 which ended with, “Remind me again why the Grammys couldn’t suck my d–k.”

At this year’s after party West once again let his distaste be known, telling E! News, “I don’t know what [he] said. All I know is if the Grammys want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us […] Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given is award to Beyonce, and at this point, we tired of it […] I’m not going to do anything to put my daughter at risk, but I am here to fight for creativity. That’s the reason why I didn’t say anything tonight. But you all know what it meant when ‘Ye walks on the stage.”

Beck however, took it all in stride, “Absolutely I thought she was going to win. Come on! She’s Beyonce!” He went on to say, “You can’t please everybody. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to what he does. How many great records has he put out in the last five years, right?”

As for Beyonce’s husband’s reaction to the whole thing – he looked horrified at first but then laughed it off once Kanye decided to sit back down.
