Best Dressed At The 2014 Met Gala!

The Met Gala is all about fashion and art, so you’ll see some daring, architectural gowns that would never work at a typical award show like the Oscars or the Emmys. One of the first stars to hit the red carpet was Sarah Jessica Parker, who wowed in a daring, dramatic black and white Oscar de la Renta ball gown. In case you weren’t sure of the designer, his name was even etched in red on the back of her train!
Another dramatic, over-the-top gown was the Marchesa number worn by Karolina Kurkova. It was a giant, shimmery midnight blue gown with large floral detailing and a pointy, assymetrical neckline — and it’s to die for. It’s understandable why she wore her hair in a simple slicked-back style and donned almost no makeup; the stiff, avant garde gown was the star of the show.
Emma Stone didn’t follow the theme of the Met Gala, but made best dressed lists for her light pink crop top and darker pink draped skirt with high slit. Redheads can wear pink! Emma looked youthful and summery, and her effortless wavy side-braid was a departure from the wavy bob and bangs look she’s been sporting while doing press for The Amazing Spiderman 2.
