Bethenny Frankel Working On “Skinnygirl Marijuana”
Published on January 15, 2015.If anything, at least Bethenny Frankel, 44, is creative – not to mention successful after turning her Skinnygirl brand into an entire empire.
The Real Housewives of New York City star began Skinnygirl back in 2009, coming out with books, exercise DVDs and of course the Skinnygirl cocktail company and now she is branching into yet another venture, Skinnygirl marijuana.
According to Us Weekly magazine Frankel plans on launching the strain of pot in Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington where recreational cannabis has been legalized.
“It will be a specially engineered strain of pot designed to not give you the munchies. She read about how profitable the cannabis industry is and wants to get in on that,” an insider stated.
The “munchie-less” aspect is of course an important factor in order to coincide with the Skinnygirl brand and it seems Frankel has been doing her research as she was spotted leaving the Green Dragon Dispensary in Aspen, and she later tweeted, “OMG it’s the craziest thing to see marijuana legal in Aspen. People walking into pot stores like it’s the @Gap #prohibitiondon.”
While things seem to be sailing along for Frankel’s career, it seems divorce negotiations with her estranged husband Jason Hoppy aren’t going so well.
According to somebody close to Frankel, “Jason turned down a $3 million settlement offer because he wanted more. Their divorce has gotten nasty.”
