Bill Cosby Breaks Silence To Thank Supporters
Published on December 4, 2014.Bill Cosby, 77, has remained silent as accusations against him continue to pile-up with numerous women claiming they were drugged, raped and/or sexually assaulted by “The Cosby Show” star.
Through the duration of the claims, Cosby has been letting his lawyer speak for him who has been issuing comments such as, “Over the last several weeks, decade-old, discredited allegations against Mr. Cosby have resurfaced. The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true. Mr. Cosby does not intend to dignify these allegations with any comment,” as well as calling them “unsubstantiated, fantastical stories.”
Late Tuesday (Dec 2) night Cosby finally broke his silence only to thank Whoopi Goldberg who has continuously supported him when he tweeted out, “Thank you @WhoppiGoldberg.”
Then on Wednesday December 3 he tweeted at Jill Scott for her support, “Thank you @MissJillScott, from the Cosby family.”
Goldberg created quite the heated debate on The View on November 20 when she spoke in support of Cosby stating, “Perhaps the police might have believed [the allegation] or the hospital. Don’t you do a kit when you say someone has raped you? I hope somebody gets to the bottom of this, but I’m going to reserve my judgement because I have a lot of questions.”
Meanwhile Scott used her social media to defend the comedian writing things such as, “oh ok. So they’ve proven the alleged allegations? I didn’t know. Will they also be giving him back the millions he’s donated?”
As more and more women come forward, Cosby’s innocence is becoming increasingly doubtful with stars such as Janice Dickinson saying she was raped by him and most recently a woman who states she was 15 at the time of the assault.
