Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Welcome First Child

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are parents!

The actors welcomed their first child together in December, according to the New York Post’s Page Six. There are no details yet about the gender or name of the baby, since Blake and Ryan haven’t yet talked publicly about the birth.

Back in October, Blake announced that she was pregnant on her new lifestyle website, Preserve. “With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all, to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of the family,” the 27 year-old wrote at the time.

We’re expecting the baby’s name to be something unusual, since Ryan, 37, hinted at some outrageous ideas. “On the plane over here I was trying to think of baby names. I don’t want a name that’s anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y,” he joked in October. “So I’m going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds … that’s if it’s a girl.”

But he turned serious to discuss his excitement about becoming a father. “I’m just excited about having a buddy,” he told People magazine. “For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don’t want to make. I’m at that stage still where I’m focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error.”
