Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will be releasing a duet very soon!
The country singer announced that a new collaboration single with girlfriend Gwen Stefani will be released later this week. The new song is called “Happy Anywhere,” and will be performed by the duo on the Today show during its broadcast on Friday.
“Even though Gwen and I just had a single out, we decided that, under the circumstances, this year … man, there’s never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,'” Shelton said in a press release about the new song.
“We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around,” he added. “That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year.”
The duo’s popular song “Nobody But You” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in April. This marked pop star Stefani’s first chart-topper in the country genre. “Congratulations @gwenstefani on your first country song going #1 at country radio!!! Not bad for your first try!!!!! Thank you all as well!!! #nobodybutyou,” Blake wrote at the time.
Stefani responded with her own comment, “Trying to wrap my head around the fact that I even get to know you Blake Shelton-let alone be on Such a beautiful classic duet w u?! thank you! for taking me along on this ride with you!!” she added. “I am so grateful and blown away by all the support everyone has shown us!!?!! gx.”
