Michael Lewis’s bestselling non-fiction novel The Big Short: Inside The Doomsday Machine, which is about the “build-up of the housing and credit bubble during the 2000s and spent 28 weeks on the New York Times best seller list, is getting to set to come to the big screen.

If that didn’t peak your interest, the cast that is lined up to star in the film certainly will.

Early talks indicate that three of Hollywood’s biggest (and sexiest) A-listers are rumored to star including Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling.

So if fans are wondering who to thank for this wonderful line-up, it is Brad Pitt himself whose production company Plan B entertainment will be producing the film with a script from Adam McKay, who is also expected to direct.

Two of Lewis’ other works have already been hit films with the 2011’s Moneyball which also starred Pitt and 2009’s The Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock, with both films earning Oscar nominations for Best Picture.

The three Hollywood hunks are expected to portray key players in the financial crisis who helped caused the financial bubble or predicted its eventual burst.

Pitt is coming off of huge accolades for his war time film Fury, while Bale has battled tough critics with his most recent film Exodus: Gods and Kings, and Gosling has been busy filming for The Nice Guys and adjusting to life as a new father to daughter Esmeralda with girlfriend Eva Mendes.
