Bruce Jenner Threatens To Sue Over Dress Photos

Bruce Jenner, 65, is doing everything he can to tell his story of transitioning from a man to a woman in his own terms, but being a celebrity has made that difficult.

Days before Jenner’s exclusive interview with Diane Sawyer on 20/20 was set to air in which Jenner opened up about his transition, news outlets including New York Daily News and CNN displayed photos of Jenner outside of his Malibu home wearing a dress.

Jenner’s people had the photos taken down as quickly as possible but not before they made their way around the internet and now Jenner is threatening legal action over the invasion of his privacy. “The photos were clearly unlawfully taken from a very long distance using an enhancement device. Bruce Jenner is going to enforce his right to privacy,” his attorney Marty Singer stated via Fox news.

The news of Jenner’s transition has become headline news for weeks and although he has received lots of support there have been some seemingly making transphobic remarks.

Most recently actress Alice Eve has come under fire for comments she made on a now deleted Instagram post stating that if Jenner were a woman “no one would have even heard of you because women can’t compete in the decathlon. You wouldn’t be a hero. You would be a frustrated young athlete who wasn’t given a chance.”

Following the backlash, Eve clarified her comments, “I am saying that we have to refine the language on this topic so all men, women and trasgenders [sic] are accurately represented in their process of self-identification.”
