Cameran Eubanks Reveals She Won’t Be Returning To Bravo’s ‘Southern Charm’

Southern Charm will need a new narrator for its upcoming season.

On Tuesday, May 12, Cameran Eubanks – the Real World: San Diego alumna who has been a key player on the hit Bravo show since it premiered back in March 2014, and always provided the show’s voice-over narration – revealed on Instagram that she won’t be returning for the show’s upcoming seventh season.

The news of her exit was dropped subtly in the comments section of one of her own Instagram posts, a throwback photo of her posing alongside friends including Southern Charm costar Patricia Altschul.

“Missing the show!” a fan wrote to Eubanks, before asking, “When are you returning? 💕”

“I will not be returning,” Eubanks responded.

Eubanks’ sudden exit from the show is shocking to many fans, seeing as how central the reality star has been to her group of friends – Shep Rose, Craig Conover and Austen Kroll – who are expected to return next season alongside Kathryn Dennis and more.

“You’re the only reason to watch,” one follower wrote on Instagram, amid others pleading for her to stay.

Production for Southern Charm‘s seventh season had begun earlier in the year, but was put on hold due to the ongoing public health situation.

Since stay-at-home orders were put in place, Eubanks has been vocal about not reopening beaches and nonessential stores right away. She lashed out at Southern Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster on social media, who has been loosening restrictions on businesses and public areas, and pushed for more time to curb the ongoing crisis.

“I’m INCENSED on this!! Fellow South Carolinians please speak out! This isn’t a democratic or republican issue it’s F—— COMMON SENSE!!” Eubanks wrote last month.

This is an issue that hits close to home for Eubanks, as she’s married to physician Jason Wimberly, who has been on the frontlines of the public health situation.

The couple, who wed in 2014, share 2-year-old daughter Palmer Corinne.

While their daughter has made appearances on Southern Charm since her birth, Wimberly has also mostly stayed away from the cameras.

In November 2019, at BravoCon, Eubanks told PEOPLE that fans “might” see more of him in the show’s upcoming seasons, adding that he was “warming up” to the idea.

On the other hand, one thing fans most likely won’t see, either on or off camera, is another baby.

“I think one is all I can handle,” Eubanks said. “I have the self-awareness to know that I can be a really good mother to one, not sure if I could be a really good mother to more than one”

“Everyone says like, ‘Oh well don’t you want to give her a sibling?’ And I’m like, ‘I want to give her a sane mother,’ ” Eubanks continued, adding that Wimberly “supports” her stance on more kids despite wanting another kid himself. “He’s the love of my life.”
