Cause Of Death For The Real World’s Ryan Knight Revealed

MTV star Ryan Knight tragically passed away at the age of 29 after a night of partying this past Thanksgiving on Thursday November 27. At the time of his death Knight was found by a friend who reported that it looked like Knight died after choking on his own vomit and had been drinking and taking pills earlier in the night.

Several months later the final autopsy report has ruled his death an accidental overdose caused by a lethal mix of several drugs and alcohol TMZ has reported. According to the Kenosha County medical examiner, Knight had a high level of alcohol in his system as well as drugs including methadone, tramadol (a pain killer), cocaine and Xanax.

During Knight’s season of MTV’s The Real World: New Orleans in 2010 it was revealed that he had suffered from substance abuse and had been addicted to pain killers after an injury that essentially cost him his hockey career and scholarship to Arizona State University.

Despite his past issues, friends stated that Knight was really happy the night before he died and was excited about his new relationship. And while he did not intend to harm himself, he succumbed to his hard-partying ways.

Knight’s death came shortly after the loss of another longtime MTV castmate Diem Brown, who lost her battle to cancer, only weeks before Knight’s death and both appeared on the most recent season of MTV’s The Challenge: Battle of the Exes II which is airing currently.
