Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan-Tatum Defend Marriage
Published on June 27, 2014. Updated October 15, 2014This is so much bigger than the headline suggests. Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum are defending the institution of marriage! Wait. No. They’re just defending their marriage, because Star ran a story that their marriage was on the rocks.
Ah, Star Magazine. Such a beacon of truth and insight. It would be sweet to have a writing gig for Star. You wouldn’t even have to fact check. Sure, even the best writers get some facts wrong from time to time, but at Star, you could toss out conjecture right and left, then watch the people in line at your local grocer dig through the pages like a ten year old through Harry Potter.
Star suggested that the three year marriage between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum was already coming to an end–that the couple was really struggling. Sure, this could be a believable story in any marriage, especially for a couple who is within the first couple years of raising a child. Still, no evidence exists in the marriage of Channing and Jenna.
The fact that Star stated that the couple’s five year marriage was a three year marriage…? Maybe the story was written two years ago, and they recently dusted it off for publication. Who knows?
Channing and Jenna didn’t feel like entertaining this story, and blasted the magazine for its shoddy reporting. (What reporting?) The couple claims they have never been closer, and their bond continues to grow as their first child, daughter Everly, continues to grow with them.
