Chris Brown’s Probation Revoked After Shooting

Controversial R&B singer Chris Brown was only 200 hours or an estimated eight days away from being off of probation before a Los Angeles judge revoked his probation on Thursday January 15.

Brown appeared in court after the judge learned that the singer had traveled to San Jose, California without getting permission to leave L.A. from his probation officer.

Brown traveling without consent may have never been known by authorities however if it had not been for a violent altercation that broke out outside of the nightclub where Brown was performing on Saturday January 10.

Five people were wounded by gunshots near Fiesta nightclub and while Brown was not directly involved, the story quickly made headlines that the singer was nearby when the incident happened.

The recommendation from authorities is that Brown’s probation, which stems from his 2009 domestic violence assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, be extended six more months with a follow-up hearing scheduled for March 20.

Brown’s mother Joyce Hawkins along with Brown’s on-again off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran were also in court to support him and Tran continued to fuel rumors that the pair are engaged as she was sporting a very conspicuous diamond ring on her left hand.

Brown’s probation officer wrote in a report that although he was making some progress he also, “continues a pattern of making choices that are counterproductive.”
