Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Announce Their Pregnancy

Model Chrissy Teigen, 29, and her Grammy winning husband John Legend, 36, announced they are expecting their first child together in an adorable Instagram post on Monday, October 12.
The photo shows the couple on a couch with Legend touching his wife’s belly; Teigen included the caption: “John and I are so happy to announce that we are pregnant. As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family. We’re so excited that it’s finally happening. Thank you for all your love and well wishes. I look forward to all the belly touching! Xx.”
In the last year especially the famous couple have been very vocal about wanting children and about their fertility struggles and that they have wanted children for a very long time: “I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble. We would have kids five, six years ago if it’s happened. But my gosh, it’s been a process!” Teigen stated.
Teigen and Legend first met on set for one of Legend’s music videos in 2007 and dated for four years before becoming engaged in 2011 and married in 2013. This will be the first child for both of them.
