On Monday April 20, several conflicting reports came flooding in about the condition on 22-year old Bobbi Kristina Brown who has been under extreme medical care since being found unresponsive and face-down in a filled bathtub in her Atlanta home.
Over the weekend, Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown shared hopeful news about his daughter while performing at a concert by announcing she is “awake” and “watching” him, a sentiment that was echoed by his sister Tina Brown in a now deleted Facebook post.
Hours later however, the other side of Bobbi Kristina’s family denied those reports saying she is still unresponsive and on a ventilator, leaving the actual status of her condition a confusing mystery.
Now, it seems Cissy Houston, Bobbi’s grandmother, is trying to set the record straight after releasing her own statement about her granddaughter.
“I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”
She then added the possibility of a grim future for Bobbi because of her status, “Meeting with doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers.”
