Courteney Cox And David Arquette Break Silence After Alexis Arquette’s Death

For many years Courteney Cox was a part of the Arquette family after marrying David Arquette, and following Alexis Arquette’s passing on Sunday, September 11, the actress is speaking out in memory of her former sister-in-law.

Cox took to Twitter to write a heartfelt statement about to the Arquette family after their loss. “My heart goes out to anyone who was lucky enough to know Alexis. We will love and miss you forever,” the 52-year-old wrote. Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Alexis’s brother David also broke his silence following his sister’s death with a statement on social media. “Thank you for all of your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity,” he wrote.

On September 11, Alexis Arquette, a transgender activist and actress who is best know for her Boy-George inspired role in the hit film The Wedding Singer, passed away at the age of 47. Her brother, Richmond Arquette, confirmed the news on Facebook: “Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am,” Richmond, 53, wrote. “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie’s Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.”

A cause of death has not been specified.
