Dancing With The Stars’ Cheryl Burke And Boy Meets World’s Matthew Lawrence Are Married

Boy met girl and now they are married!

Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke and her boyfriend, Boy Meets World actor Matthew Lawrence were married on Thursday, May 23 at the Fairmont Grand del Mar in San Diego, California.

The gorgeous bride donned a stunning Romona Keveza gown with a six-foot train as her stepfather Bob Wolf walked her down the aisle. Burke’s matron of honor was none other than actress Leah Remini and her bridal party also consisted of her sister Nicole and Dancing With the Stars pro Kym Herjavec. Meanwhile, Lawrence had his two brothers Joey and Andy Lawrence by his side as his two best men.

The stunning wedding was the culmination of a long road of events that led the two stars together. The couple initially began dating in late 2006 when Lawrence visited his brother on the Dancing With the Stars set when Joey was competing on the popular series.

“There was an attraction right away,” said Burke. “But we were both really young.”

After over a year of dating, the two split amid reports of cheating and a lot of tabloid drama and went their separate ways before reuniting almost nine years later in 2017. “It felt like the [time passed] didn’t happen,” said Burke. “I just felt so comfortable.”

After another year of dating, Lawrence popped the question during Burke’s birthday celebrations in 2018.  “OMG! So far so good for 34! #amilliontimesyes #imengaged#herecomesthebride,” the dancer wrote in her Instagram post announcing the engagement.

“He’s such a great guy. He’s so normal, considering we’re in this crazy business. It’s so nice to be able to come home to him and turn Netflix on and order Postmates. He’s someone I definitely do see spending the rest of my life with,” Burke said of her life with Lawrence. The 35-year-old has also revealed that the pair want to have kids sooner rather than later.

“I want to have kids,” said Burke. “[When we got back together] it was like, ‘Let’s not waste any time. Time’s a tickin’!
